Our Verdict

These deals are also showing up via the public link and also via referral links. (Do not share your referrals in the comments.) We have seen better deals before with more spend, but overall all of these are pretty good, especially if you can signup using a friends referral link. It’s worth making sure you have a use for these points before signing up. We will add these to our best credit card bonuses.

Can’t find any links anywhere for the 165k business bonus! Everywhere i search says it’s available and public or via link but even if I clink in a link it goes to 130k offer.

Does AMEX Hilton match a new higher offer?

I applied for and received the Hilton Surpass card (with 130,000 pt bonus) about 2 weeks before the offer increased to 150,000. When I called, the rep wouldn’t match the 20,000 extra pts, but gave me 3000 pts as a consolation instead. I’m going to try again.

Has anyone had luck with a new offer match?

I’m getting “you are not eligible to receive the welcome offer.” Any tricks around this?

Try incognito, or not using a referral link, or both. Just got around the popup today this way

P2 gets “You are not eligible for this welcome offer.” That’s it. Not the usual text of pop-up jail.

Guilty by association with me?

Honors points have been so devalued you’ll be lucky to get 2 nights at a place worth staying with the highest of these offers.

I actually found it worth buying $700 of points living in Kensington London for 5 days at Doubletree back in December.

Me and P2 earned over 1MM Hilton points last year and found out the hard way that Hilton loves to drop ‘premium-only’ inventory on random calendar dates which made their points very irritating to use. This doesn’t only make nearly impossible to use the 5th night free anywhere desirable, but when your date range falls on a premium 200k-400k night, it prices every night of your stay at that cost. We planned a month-log trip to EU later this year and despite every city having at least a dozen Hiltons (at least in decent locations, not the outskirts), it was only possible to book one four-night stay with them the entire month.

I’ll only use it for overnight trips until I burn it all. I used to try to be optimistic and say the fifth night free was priced into their daily points rates, but since it’s so hard to use the 5th night I’m back to saying Hilton is just an awful program. I’ll stick with my crappy Hyatt footprint thank you very much.

As much hate as Hilton gets, it’s harder to churn Hyatt unless you have the 5k for nights unless u mattress run. IHG is even worse than Hilton in my opinion. These updated SUBs are bad anyways, no FN cert compared to the others. The only thing I’m holding on with Hilton is to do a Maldives trip with my 4 FNs.

I was able to get 95K/night at the Conrad Maldives and was upgraded to a room with rack of $1600/night. Paid cash + free night in Seychelles and was upgraded from $450/night to $1400/night room. There’s lots of value to hoarding Hilton points and maximizing status if you have a bit of travel flexibility.

Y’all just complain way too much. I had no issues with availability in Japan, Singapore, Mexico, Panama, Dubai and Qatar Pretty open access availability at all the nice hotels there.

I’ve gotten more than one cent per point on many occasions. Stayed in Times Square on New Year’s Eve when the cash rate would have been $1,500. Stayed at the Waldorf Astoria in Los Cabos where each night is $2,000.

I know I’m nitpicking, but wasn’t the Surpass offer already available before, at least if you applied incognito? I got the 150k bonus on 3k spend last month.
