Instacart+ Now Includes Free Peacock Premium Subscription ($5.99/Month Value)

Instacart announced today a partnership with Peacock to offer Peacock Premium subscription free to Instacart+ members. Activate At This Link

Peacock Premium typically costs $59.99 per year or $5.99 per month. This plan does have ads. (It might be possible to upgrade to Peacock Premium Plus for $60/year or $6/month.)

A lot of us have Instacart+ free for 12 months with the Chase Sapphire Reserve or for 6 months with the Sapphire Preferred or for 3 months with the Freedom card. And you can even stack free months from each Freedom card on top of your free months from the Sapphire card, as described in this post.

This is a nice little benefit of Instacart+, and is probably an attempt to compete with Prime Video with Amazon Prime and Paramount+ with Walmart+.

Any data points if it is possible to upgrade to the Plus No Ads plan when using this benefit?

I spoke with customer service. They do not offer the ability to upgrade unfortunately.

I don’t see any option for it. I tried and it just says I need to manage my subscription through instacart which only lists premium w/ ads

I just signed up for Instacart+ with my CSP and I was instantly able to activate Peacock Premium. I didn’t previously subscribe to either so it was very easy to sign up

Wonder if Chase is going to extend the Instacart membership for next year. 🤔

If you use this promo do you think we will be able to then go into our account and sign up for premium plus and use the streaming credit from Amex?

That’s good to know. But only have peacock for the Premier League.

For those of you having an issue canceling your old account and getting a error: technically, you have to contact them to fully cancel it because your account is likely good through the remainder of the billing cycle. Once I did that I was able to redeem my offer.

I can’t link my existing account with an active premium subscription but oddly it also errors out when signing up with a brand new email. It says the brand new account is already linked to a peacock account.

If anyone figures out the solution, let us know!

Has anyone connected their account and then seen if you can upgrade to Premium Plus? I cannot connect yet due to having a current subscription for 10 more days. Would really be a good deal if you could use a World Elite Mastercard to pay for the upgrade and get a $5 statement credit.

When trying to link my InstaCart, Peacock returned an error saying I already had Premium. When I went to cancel Premium, it offered me 3 months of Premium for just $2.50 per month. That’s better than the ‘free’ plan under Instacart as it’s less than the $6 upgrade cost.

I can link this to my Instacart in 3 months assuming they don’t provide another sweet cancelation offer.

Premium is with ads. Premium Plus is the one without ads. So if you got the 3 month offer of Premium for 2.50/mo, it would be the same as the Instacart free one.

Their plan names are annoyingly confusing, probably on purpose.

Jack, you are right. I have Premium Plus, but the $2.50 covers only the Premium with ads.

Bruce How much were you paying before? If it was 5.99, that is the Premium with Ads, the same one that’s free on Instacart.

If you go to cancel again after a month they may offer you even less lol. I am currently paying 99c/month for Premium
