Issues With X/Twitter Auto Posting & BlueSky

A few readers have reached out asking why posts aren’t getting automatically pushed onto Twitter anymore. Unfortunately the autoposter we use (dlvr.it) limits you to 50 posts per month after X updated the API pricing, there is no solution to pay more currently to fix this issue. I’m hopeful they will come up with a solution as I know a lot of readers keep in touch with the site via X. If anybody knows of other solutions let us know.

Additionally we have created a BlueSky account (drofcredit.bsky.social) and we’ve enabled auto posting on there to push articles. I know people love to discuss the politics of both platforms but I don’t think discussing that here really serves any purpose so keep those opinions to yourself. If the commentary on this post devolves in political talk we will close the comments.

Would you consider auto posting to Threads too?

Am I the only one that had never heard of BlueSky before reading this article?

You could set your Bluesky handle to doctorofcredit.com.

Just a note: unfortunately when you change your handle, your old one won’t redirect… you won’t lose followers, but you’ll have to update any links (such as the one in this post).

Yes hopefully DOC can post everywhere
Political Bias of X is laughable since you can follow whoever you want. If you don’t want to see the political portion of X then only follow non political people/companies.

I follow a bunch of economic people and my favorite sports team. Outside of 1 month of the year and a few days here and there it is non political.

If you need your DOC fix then just visit this site daily or weekly.

That’s actually a joke. Anyone who’s used twitter now knows it’s plastered with Elon spam and right wing trolls everywhere, regardless of who you follow.

Yes! Just scroll all the way to the bottom of this post, or any post, and enter your email where it reads “Get A Once A Day E-mail With All Our Posts”

I currently use the RSS feed to receive notification when a new article is posted. However, that is delayed by up to an hour.

Is there a way that you can set up an instant email alert when a new article is posted? I am sure that I am not the only one that would find that very useful.

The vast majority of content on DoC is still useful after 24hrs. I follow DoC via RSS, and I browse the articles after work. I don’t recall having missed anything (that matters to me) with this approach.

IFTTT. $60/year and it lets you tweet well over 100x per day.

It takes, what, 5 seconds to copy/paste a link in to Twitter? So you’re spending literally a minute per day tweeting our links? Sorry, but where is the problem here

Bad take. (1) There is absolutely no need to manually post anything if it could be done automatically. That’s just a waste of people’s time. (2) Manually posting things easily introduces errors and inconsistencies. That never happens when things are synchronized automatically
