JetBlue has announced that it will be increasing bag fees yet again, citing rising fuel costs. Earlier this year JetBlue increased bag fees by $5-$9. New fees are below:
At the start of the year a first bag was costing $35, that was increased $39 and now we are up to $50 per bag. Generally when one airline raises bag fees the others quickly follow suit. For example in 2024 JetBlue, United and American Airlines all raised fees. I’d be surprised to see other airlines increase fees again after already increasing them this year.
