JetBlue Premier Card Is Live: Signup Bonus 70,000 Points + 5 Tiles ($499 Annual Fee)

The Offer

Direct Link to offer

The Jetblue Premium card from Barclays (we mentioned yesterday) is now live, along with a signup bonus:

  • Get 70,000 bonus points + 5 tiles after spending $5,000 on purchases and paying the annual fee in full, both within the first 90 days, with the JetBlue Premier Card.
  • (Update: apparently the 5 tiles is not a signup special, just the regular 5 tiles earned after $5,000 spend.)

Cardmembers who currently have or previously had a JetBlue Plus Card are not eligible for this offer.

Card Details

  • $499 annual fee ($150 for authorized cardholders)
  • Up to $300 in statement credit per calendar year on Paisly purchases works as follows: For every Paisly by JetBlue purchase(s) of $250 or greater through the use of the Card Account, you will receive a $50 statement credit, subject to a limit of 6 statement credits, for a total of $300 per calendar year per Card Account. Each qualifying purchase must be $250 or more, less returns and credits to receive this benefit.
  • Priority Pass select
  • Card earns 6x points on JetBlue & Paisly purchases
  • Group A boarding
  • Free checked bag

Our Verdict

This card is not worth the annual fee, and even with the signup bonus it won’t be interesting to many people. This might eventually get JetBlue lounge access when those lounges open.

Really hope someone can forward this comment section to the wise guy over at Barclays marketing department who approved this nonsense. You should lose your shirt, sir.

Doesn’t look like you can get bonus if you have or ever had the plus card

Talk about a hard pass on this card, the $99 card is so much better.

It’s comically bad when for $1k min spend and $99 AF you can get 50-60k miles. 5 tiles is useless and also what you get for spending $5k on any jetblue card anyway

While this is card is obviously not profitable, my research revealed that Ben Baldanza just died in November, so hopefully JetBlue will turn this around and start adding value back into the company.

The $300 coupon book portal credit requirements are a total fail for this AF.

Proof that banks game customers far more often than customers game banks.
