Our Verdict
You should be able to combine this with the 1,000 bonus miles for partner activity to score 4,000 miles total. This is generally as good as these bonuses get, so it’s worth considering. In my experience gift card purchases have qualified for these bonuses in the past, this is useful due to the 30 day requirement.
Hat tip to Mile Nerd
So, doing these 3 dinning within 30 days would automatically fulfill the requirement for the 1000 partner bonus? And you should have a Delta flyer number already? Is it worth joining the Delta frequent flyer program now or wait until there is some bonus for joining? Thanks.
It would fulfill have of the promotion I think. I’d probably join now if you can easily hit this 4k bonus.
Interesting…. have to this point avoided these omnipresent, recurrent miles & dining promos. (seem to always be about for the same 3k miles) Yet you got my attention with this:
“In my experience gift card purchases have qualified for these bonuses in the past”
Presume you mean you go to a restaurant (or their web site?), and then buy one of their gift card certs…. (ideally at a discount to face value) Did something similar last year with Hyatt/Amex promo…
But then in this case, aren’t you supposed to write a review of your dining experience? How’d you meet or get around that?
Has to be in store to qualify, usually I’ve bought gift cards at restaurants I’ve already eaten at so writing a short review is easy. Otherwise you could just review the decorum?
