Our Verdict
Previously biggest bonus was $35. This is now the highest, we always try to pass the full bonus onto our readers but this time it was capped at $40 and we also receive a small bonus when you sign up (believe me we tried to get the full bonus passed on but it wasn’t possible). Thanks if you use our link and support the site.
One of the reasons I love Topcashback is they have the same mindset as we do, they give users 100% of a store’s commission back as cash back. They make money through separate advertising banners ‘our list stores’ among other ways. I find that Topcashback rates are consistently better than other shopping portals and it’s the portal I use the most often.
Some readers have had issues with tracking with Topcashback, but in my experience that hasn’t been the case and all portals have reports of tracking issues. As always make sure you follow our tips to ensure portals track correctly. Keep in mind money earned from Topcashback doesn’t become payable until they receive the money from the merchant so the wait times can be longer than other sites. If you have any unresolved issues with TCB then send an e-mail to [email protected].
Used your referral link to sign up a few days ago. They had 8% cash back on Booking.com up till yesterday when I booked a almost 500 euro stay in Venice. Today the rebate drops to 6%… Lucky break for me.
Too bad BonVoy is a measly 3% and not applicable to AAA rate, but seemingly applicable to Senior rate.
TCB offering $30.30 for your first Coinbase trade, and it appears there is no minimum trade amount required. Seems like an easy $70 with potential for more as Coinbase also lets new members spin the wheel for $3-$200 after your first trade
I seen 50$ referral bonus so not highest ever 😀
cannot seem to find that page from the link listed. Just a sign-up page with no 40.00 bonus. How would one access that page with the offer? TIA
From the sign up page: “Our average member earns over $450 cash back a year.”
Anyone else feel like there is no possible way the average user earns that much? Maybe I’m not average, but I’ve earned $25 in 2.5 years, but as has been posted, I rarely use TCB since they never track for me and have declined offers on me.
my girlfriend earns over $450 a year in cashback. She lives in Canada
Does the fact she lives in Canada matter? Do Canadians make more? Regardless, that’s impressive.
$400 CAD is less than $400 USD. In any case, I earned $1000 with capital one shopping and $70k+ MR on Rakuten. I would assume most people who bother to use portals are “in the game” and skew the numbers.
How did you get $1000? What did you buy?
Honest question – are there still people who don’t have an account with TCB or are people all signing up with new ones lol
(I gave up the latter after three accounts, years ago, it’s too much to monitor)
I have actually never joined, gave up on portals a while back as nothing was ever tracking correctly so it was pointless It would all be fine until it came time to pay then it would get dropped for unknown reasons and I had too many to keep track of and would miss the contesting windows. Never tried TCB though.
FWIW, I have never had issues with TCB. Have made much money with them over the years.
I joined to give it a shot. With the sign up bonus I have a bit over $120 in cash back tracking and processing fine so far.
My partner doesn’t have one. Thinking about using her info. I would manage it.
TCB offering $12 cash back when doing the Hulu 99 cent/mo deal. Seems like a nice way to get a year of Hulu for free + make $40 for TCB signup.
MVP! I just did this offer. (hopefully, it tracks). On the home page, there’s a $2.50 boost you can activate for spending $15 on a single transaction ending today.
Brilliant.
Does TCB ‘Refer a friend’ ever go above $35? Trying to decide between this and my referral to have P2 sign up.
I received Refer a Friend offers for $50 in May and September, and $40 in July. I think this was the first year I’ve seen $40 and $50; previously $35 was the highest.
I just checked my email and looks like they had sent me the same offers in May and September. So I guess I’ll wait for the $50 RaF offer to be back.
What is the deadline for the $10 earning requirement? It says the entire offer expires Dec 10, is that the same as the deadline for the earning requirement? T&C do not seem to clarify this
same question
There is no time limit for earning the $10.
Used them in the past but got tired of untracked transactions and spending time submitting claims. And then waiting months for things to clear up and finally get paid. Or sometimes not paid at all due to merchant not paying.
To be fair, a few merchants do regularly track and pay out, but some do not.
Now I only use Rakuten and RMN, a lot less drama, better tracking and customer service, and faster payments. TCB sometimes offers higher cash back, you have to decide for yourself if the orange is worth the squeeze.
I’m surprised that you’ve had such bad experiences with TCB. I have probably done well over 100 purchases through TCB over the years and only a handful of times did the purchase not track. Most, if not all of those times, TCB resolved the claim in my favor. I am quite happy with them.
I was drawn in by the higher CB rates, and used them over a number of years. Some merchants were 100% track/payment, while others were below 50%. If you do a purchase with a TCB bonus that does not track, you have to submit a ticket for the original purchase AND a separate ticket for the TCB bonus. It was all just too much.
People have had good experiences with TCB, like yourself. For me, Rakuten + RMN has worked well on cashback.
This has been my experience with TCB as well. I rarely use them since most of the time it’s such a pain in the butt.
I completely agree, TCB I’ve historically always had issues, never with Rakuten. I always try to decide if TCB is worth the hassle…
