Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
No monthly service fee in any month if either of the following conditions are met: 1) $2,500 average monthly balance; or 2) direct deposits totaling $500.00 or more.
Early Account Termination Fee
Unsure if there is any early account termination fee or not.
Our Verdict
It’s annoying you need to have the $10,000 in the account for 60 days, but still worth doing as if you had that $10,000 in a 4% APY account you’d only be earning $65. We will add this to our list of the best checking bonuses.

Are you applying for this one ShawntheShawn👈🏾 ? I didn’t see anyone in the comments that got accepted by the Innovision Society eligibility. Wondering how Chex sensitive they are as well.
Once upon a time they approved Davis, and then they shutdown the flood gates. I feel bad for the rep that got fired… j/k. Lefty
https://www.doctorofcredit.com/kinecta-250-checking-bonus/
I thought about trying it last night, but there are a lot of hoops… 45 debit transactions, DD, and holding funds. Not the worst offer, but certainly not fun.
Those that did get approved said they paid the bonus early… maybe that’s why they added the debits now so the system cannot pay until the 3rd month? Just speculation.
EDIT: Oh, and they are one of those credit unions that first claim identity verification as the denial reason, but then follow-up with a Chex denial message, from what I culled. Not nice.
Gadget - Bank Bonus Geek ShawntheShawn👈🏾 Davis Thinking of applying for me and P2. Our Chex is the same: 1/1, 1/3, 3/6, 6/12. Is this likely to be an issue? Sorry if the answer is obvious, but I’ve only been doing bonuses for a year and don’t have a good sense for what can trigger a denial.
I’ll go in person next month to try it out. Most banks are less Chex sensitive if you go in person. I think you should be ok.
I haven’t been tracking this Credit Union for recent activity. I’d assume you’re out of state and going to get denied,. But, you never know. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.
If you are in state it would be best to apply in person.
Usually when I’m in a toss-up position… I pick P1 or P2 to apply. Whoever I think’s got the best shot. If it works,. Have the next one try. If it doesn’t, walk away.
Sorry, I should have made clear that I am in state. Could theoretically go in branch, but they are all about 20-30 miles away and I would have to drag P2 kicking and screaming because she is the one who works in an eligible zip code (we live in an ineligible zip). My eligibility depends on being her spouse.
But it sounds like we should go in branch.
Since you are in state and your P2 is in an eligible zip code, your two’s chances of getting approved should be high. If I were in your situation, I will ask P2 to try applying online first to see how it goes. RM
ShawntheShawn👈🏾 Davis Gadget - Bank Bonus Geek So, as predicted, P2 had a hissy fit about going in branch, so I decided to try online first. Got the “we are reviewing your application and will e-mail you” message. Is that necessarily a rejection, or is it possible to get a delayed approval?
Not necessarily a rejection. It basically means someone is going to take a look at your application, which is pretty normal. The result could be approval or rejection. RM
ShawntheShawn👈🏾 Thank you! Approved within 48 hours. By the way, there is now an option to fund by credit card, although I could not get it to go through, possibly because it was coding as a cash advance.
I haven’t decided yet, my Chex is a bit heavy now and it is not getting better any time soon. Lefty

Could you post your Chex?
I think my comment went to spam. This may be available out-of-state.

Becoming a member of Kinecta Federal Credit Union is easy and won’t cost you anything out-of-pocket. If you have a family or household member who is a Kinecta member; if you have ever worked at one of our SEC organizations; if you live, work or attend school in select zip codes; or if you join the Innovision Society during the application process (we’ll cover the $10 membership fee), then you can join our credit union.
$5000 avg. daily bal. 90 days
12 debits every 30 days for 90 days.
$500 dd(s) x1.
Right, but the question is what works for DD? Not worth locking up 5k for 90 days for nothing, right? (There are no data points for DD)
Good question, but I got denied.
Applied out-of-state. Chex: 1/1, 1/2, 3/3, 6/4, 9/5, 10/6.
I see this 250 on a billboard in Los Angeles

12 debits per 30 days for 90 days from open.
$5000 avg. daily balance for 90 days from day you open.
Not counting the extra money you need to keep in the account to do the debits, only counting $5000 for 90 days; this deal is 18.25% apy.
It may be possible to open from Out-of-state using the “join the Innovision Society…for FREE.”
I found a $225 on their website. My message went to spam. If you find a link for $250 please post it.
For reference: The below has to be met PER EACH ACCOUNT. It’s not combined average monthly balance between accounts:
No monthly service fee in any month if either of the following conditions are met: 1) $2,500 average monthly balance; or 2) direct deposits totaling $500.00 or more.
I can’t edit my initial post but I made a small error. The monthly fee refers to the Checking Plus Share account ONLY:
No monthly service fee in any month if either of the following conditions are met: 1) $2,500 average monthly balance; or 2) direct deposits totaling $500.00 or more.
If these aren’t met, it’s a $9 fee. You need the above applied to the checking account. Having $2,500 in the savings or money market accounts will not help.
The savings account is fee free because you have multiple accounts open, and the money market is fee free.
There is no fee to close the accounts.
Can this be churned ?
Could not verify identity. I give up trying to get this account!
