- If you apply WINTER15 (might need to use CATCH15 now) you’ll receive a 15% discount and get $10 in Kohl’s cash per $50 spent (more on this below). This brings your total to ~$678.3 (your tax might be slightly different)
- Use code HOME10 for another $10 off $50 (you’ll need to split your transactions for this and do in store pick up or have a minimum of $75 per order for free shipping).
- If you do in store pick up then you’ll want to order 3 items to hit $50 per order (saving you a total of $130)

- Totals after discounts will be approximately:
- $548 for in store

- You’ll also earn some Yes2YOU rewards points worth another $30 or so

- Kohl’s cash must be spent 2/6-2/15
Our Verdict
They have offered similar deals in the past, I’d recommend reading through the comments in our previous post on a similar offer to get a better understanding of this deal. Here is the fine breakdown:
- Purchase 40 items for:
- $548 for in store
- $598 for online
- Get $480 in rebates
- Get $100-$110 in Kohl’s cash
- Get $10-$12 in credit card rewards
- Get $32-$36 in portal cash back
- Get ~$30 in Yes2You Rewards
If you go the in store route you’re basically getting $522 back + $100 in Kohl’s cash & $30 in Yes2You rewards for $548. Obviously not as good without going in store. The plus is that you can submit just one rebate and you’ll get a single card for $480 (still need to include all the individual UPC’s) so unloading that isn’t as difficult.
I personally find these too confusing and time consuming to be worth my time and I don’t really want to deal with 40 items. Make sure you do your own research to see if this deal works for your or not. If I missed anything important, feel free to correct me in the comments below.
Hat tip to Slickdeals
Rebate form says “Not valid with any other promotion, with the exception of the Kohl’s Associate discount”
Does the rebate really work with code winter15?
I’m not following. Math doesn’t check out.
For example, the in-store option, if you buy 3 per order, the 15% discount is applied AFTER $10 coupon. So it’s $19.99 x3 = $59.97 – $10 = $49.97 – 15% = $42.47 per order before tax. Divide by 3 to get per item price = $14.16. Times 40 items = $566.27. NOT $548. And this is BEFORE taxes. And also as noted by someone, this does NOT get you Kohls Cash because subtotal drops below $50. AND realistically it would’ve been slightly more than $566 because there would 4 items instead of 3 so the $10 discount would be divided up into $2.5 discount per item instead of $3.33.
Even if we do 4 per order, each order would be $19.99 x4 = $79.96 – $10 = $69.96 – 15% = $59.47. Since there would be 10 orders, times 10 = $594.7 BEFORE TAXES. Lets say taxes are 6% = $630.38 after tax, minus $10 times 10 orders in Kohls Cash = $530.38 – $480 rebate – $12 in 2% credit card – $30 Yes2You at 600 points – $36 at 6% portal (based on $594.7 subtotal) = profit of roughly $28, NOT $110
Single online order is $19.99 x40 = $799.6 – $10 = $789.6 – 15% = $671.16 BEFORE TAXES. You’d get $130 in Kohls Cash based on that. Lets say taxes are 6% = $711.43 after tax, minus $130 Kohls Cash = $581.43 – $480 rebate – $14 in 2% credit card – $30 Yes2You at 600 points – $40 at 6% portal (based on $671.16 subtotal) = cost of roughly $17
Did I miss something as to how you got significantly lower numbers?
Thanks.
“AND realistically it would’ve been slightly more than $566 because there would 4 items instead of 3 so the $10 discount would be divided up into $2.5 discount per item instead of $3.33.”
should have been
“AND realistically it would’ve been slightly more than $566 because there would 4 items instead of 3 ON THE LAST ORDER so the $10 discount would be divided up into $2.5 discount per item instead of $3.33.”
“winter15” is now saying that it’s expired. “CATCH15” works for 15% off (on $100+ purchases).
Thanks
thanks for posting this doc. Last time, we bought about two or three of each…. and we were actually quite surprised by the quality of some of the gadgets (and are still using them — like the turkey knife)…. Others became much appreciated surprise little “gifts” in our extended family. And all the rebates, gift cards, etc. panned out as hoped…… A “hassle” perhaps, yet like that IHG card “thing,” one much appreciated….
So I just did a bunch of these, more to shock my wife when I come home with 2 dozen random appliances more than anything else.
One thing you might want to note though. When splitting transaction for store pickup you will want to do 4 items at once instead of 3. With three items your total drops below $50 resulting in the loss of the $10 Kohls cash associated with the purchase.
I get mixed results with mail-in rebates. So mixed, I don’t even bother anymore.
Apparently KC isn’t awarded for online orders anymore if the total is below $50.
19.99 x 3 = 59.97-10 = 49.97, so no kc. If you add a 4th item to every order (7) you’re paying $441 for $336 in gift cards, $25 from EB and $70 in KC. Not a good deal at all imo.
Works out with winter15 but you would trade $540 for $360 in gift cards, $100kc and $30 from Ebates plus whatever you cc awards. And of course 30 hard to get rid of products lol.
A change of address packet at my local post offices always has a coupon to get 25% off, I always ask for one when buying MOs.
But this doesn’t get you the Kohl’s cash, right?
Agreed, sorry this isnt easy money and my time is worth more then this confusing ordeal.
If I was a reseller at flea markets I might consider this.
Donate them all. Write off fair value. Another 25 percent rebate on tax return
Yeah, that’s a good angle.
You can only write off fair market value OR the amount you paid, whichever is lower. A common misconception. I’ve been doing taxes for over 10 years.
Yes. So in this case fmv = amount paid
Do you have to include the rebates though when it comes to amount paid? My understanding is no, but I’m not an accountant.
