Our Verdict
Sadly it excludes gift cards, alcohol and tobacco. Still should be useful for Kroger shoppers. There are no fuel deals on at the moment, might make sense to wait for one to come along so you can take advantage of that when going in store as well.
I did this successfully. Your total after all other coupons (e-coupons for sure, and probably also physical coupons – which, unlike other stores’ grocery pickup services, you can use by giving them to your pickup person) must be above $50 for the $20 off $50 to be activated. The e-coupons and buy-one-get-one discounts will not be shown in your cart online while placing the order, so make sure to figure in those amounts to make sure you’re really over $50. If you accidentally end up under $50 at the time of pickup, you can ask the pickup person to run back in and grab an additional item of your choice to add to your order. You should see the $20 off $50 reflected on the proposed receipt provided by the pickup person before you agree to finalize the purchase.
Not seeing a way to do this and then shop at Ralphs; is it Kroger exclusive? After adding to my Kroger account it isn’t showing up under my Ralphs coupons; does anyone have suggestions? Thanks!!
I was able to add it directly from my Ralphs account. Look for ClickList Only Offer on the left-hand side under Coupons.
For any other Chicago area people interested in this offer, I wasn’t able to use this for Mariano’s, which is owned by Kroger.
The ad says “first”, but I managed to add it even though I’ve done Clicklist before. Might be because I clicked on your “direct link to offer”.
To others who are using Clicklist for the first time, beware that your order isn’t finalized until you’re actually picking up the groceries. Many times they are out of stock on one or two items (*), so you may want to play it safe and order more than just $50 so a missing item or two won’t trop you below the $50 minimum.
(*) rant – I find it har to believe they’re out of stock as often as they claim. I think they just skip it if they don’t find it immediately. But they still do good enough that I use it when I’m not taking my friend shopping.
it’s loading but clearly states first time only, so I am not sure what to expect
It’s an instant discount isn’t it?
My wife had done CL under her account. I used mine for the first time, a new email address, the $20 was instantly applied on greater than $50 spend.
I’d be very careful to make sure it applied. It said loaded for me too but wasn’t actually listed on my coupons page. Only worked when I created a new account.
