Beware! It appears the 5.95 fee on the visa gcs not counting in the 4x. I just called into Customer Service, Option 3, @ 1-866-221-4141 to get those points added to make a multiple of 1000 for the $1 off per gallon. (In fact the guy made a mistake in his adjustment and in fact doubled my points earned!!! )

Reselling fuel points is against the T&C.

Not that I’m anywhere near Kroger country, but I assume people make new accounts, max them out on points, and then sell the account?

Some people buy gas cans and make sure to use the full 35-gallon limit. They also tend to buy a siphon pump. Personally, I think it’s too much trouble for the value, but YMMV.

I have filled a can but even at 10 gallons it’s $10 savings. I have a truck with a 26 gallon tank so fuel points are my friend

My way of doing this is to fill up two cars: a small econonmy car (usually takes about 10-11 gallons from empty and a midsize sedan (about 14-15 gallons). From there I have two 5-gallon cans I fuel in one transaction. The hardest part is having the wife let me know when her car is low and coordinating doing this all in one transaction. The Kroger Fuel is less than a mile from home so the whole process takes less than 10 minutes.

I’ve been doing this for around a year now. Very rarely have I had to pay full price for gas. I usually wait until one vehicle is getting low, fill it up plus a few cans to max out at 35 gallons. Then I fill the other car up at home w/ a pump ($20 on amazon), or the old fashioned way. It’s a few minutes of my time, but $35/shot for a few minutes of effort is worth it to me. On top of using something like the Amex BCP (6% cb)…
