Can this be done from different accounts but redeemed with the same Airbnb account? I actually need over $1,000 in Airbnb gift cards this months so being able to order more than 3 would be very advantageous.

I was able to buy 3 cards using my Freedom Unlimited/my email and 2 more using my wife’s CSP/her email. I tried to use her FU, but I think due to the card number being the same it was rejected. All 5 are loaded on my airbnb account now.

If you are in this hobby, assuming you have hotel points, avoid Airbnb if you can. There’s zero customer service other than canned responses. You will get zero refund when issues arise, such as faulty plumbing/hvac. Airbnb removes negative reviews routinely so you can’t trust them. If you must book Airbnb, use an Amex card so that you will win a chargeback. I would avoid Airbnb gift cards like a plague. I used to be a loyal Airbnb customer and had more than a dozen bookings until I needed customer service.

I’ll actually counter this as I’ve had great experiences with their CS. Specific issue with a property being cancelled the night before our trip, they immediately called and the individual worked with me to book another one within an hour. They covered the difference (over $1000) and gave a 20% off credit to my account for next booking. YMMV of course and I agree on AMEX/Chase as backup, but nonetheless wanted to share a positive experience.

Your case is more cut and dry when the host cancels. It’s like when you buy on eBay and the seller never ships the item, you will be able to get your money back. Airbnb asked me to prove my case after I already came home and refused to offer anything. Also removed my negative review even though I carefully followed the review guidelines. I felt being interrogated by the customer service during the ordeal. Yes you might get lucky but I am done with them. Will not risk hundreds if not thousands with them. Just canceled 2 future bookings. This all happened during our thanksgiving trip so I consider this the current state of Airbnb’s lack of customer service.

I tried purchasing with my PayPal key for $100 and $300 and they also got rejected. My Citi card is giving 5% off online orders. I am not sure if this counts as an online order though.
