Our Verdict
Seems like a nice discount if you use prepaid. I believe you’ll get 2x Kroger fuel points on the purchase as well. There’s also showing there a 10% discount on Best Buy gift cards, but that one is sold out; let us know if you see it come back in stock.
Hat tip to reader Drivesabrowntruck
There is currently 13% discount on Cricket (and AT&T prepaid) gift cards at https://giftcards.kroger.com/promotions
Expires in 2 days – Offer valid from Jan 27, 2021 to Feb 2, 2021
There is also 4x on fuel points if you are a Kroger customer (expires today – Sunday I believe). You might also have to had added the digital coupon to your account before you make the purchase. Not sure on that part.
Max you can purchase seems to be $200. Not sure if I understood this correctly or the limit is on each denomination.
At any rate I got a $200 (paid $174) and was able to apply it to my Cricket account with no issues. It took some 20-30 minutes to get the e-mail with the code.
William Charles deal is back but at 10% off. Wording on the site still says 20% off for some reason.
Edit: Seems they fixed the 20% wording as I was writing this, states the correct 10%
I feel like an idiot. it was a gift card so I thought they would have unlimited until the end of the promotion. thanks anyways DOC
“Thank you for visiting our site. Unfortunately, at this time all promotions have sold out. Please come back to veiw more amazing promotions. Find your favorite brands and stores quickly and easily with our range of popular gift cards.” sigh
Thanks. For those of us who use Cricket to get AT&T service at a discount, this is a very good deal. It’s almost impossible to get a better than 20% discount on refill cards. I see it’s limit 3 cards per order. Can I re-order, or order different denominations?
The website did allow me to order 3 $90 Cricket GCs after buying 3 $100 GCs. Very fast delivery on all of them (like 10 minutes). I’ll wait to see if the gas points post, which is just “cake” on this otherwise very good promo.
Bought 3 $100 tmobile cards for $250 total. Not bad at all. Used discover card and processed by bhngiftcards. Most likely no 5%cashback from discover.
Well this is a bummer, was going to pickup a $100 tmobile refill for $80, but after entering billing address, system charges me a 911 surcharge of $1.20 w/ sales tax of $7.10. Total came out to $88.30. Might pass on this deal since I can get a better deal via ebay 15% off coupon off $100 reload auction for $85 (no tax, no surcharge).
How long did it take for review for everyone? Mine is still pending after an hour.
So, does anyone know if you can use these “prepaid” Cricket cards for a normal non-prepaid Cricket account?
teammjs not sure what you mean a normal account. These cards are much like a CC, not like the physical refill cards. They have a 16 digit number with expiration and CVV2 three digit number. Look at my post above and you can see how to redeem, which was pulled straight from the email when you get them.
They work with any Cricket account, any extra balance will be credited to your account to be used next billing cycle if you put you’re paying $100 with a $100 card to liquidate the card.
I might have to do this. Tried AT&T Amex offer on prepaid; posted 03/22 and offer not paying out yet, not holding out hope. Worked find when paying a friend’s post paid plan.
Alert, just bought 3 $100 cricket gift cards. They are invalid in Cricket system, and not replacement or refund, have to dispute through credit card.
David you need to make sure you follow the directions in the emails you get. These are service gift cards, you don’t redeem them like the refill cards through the app.
Redeem Online:
Visit cricketwireless.com, click Quick Pay button, enter 10-digit Cricket phone number, click Cricket Service Payment Card button and follow steps to redeem.
Please note these are payment service cards (not regular refill cards )… Under Quick pay you need to select Service Payment Card option to utilize these cards… hope this helps…
I already bought about $1,500 same Cricket Service Payment cards from Target.com previously, no problem to apply them, but Kroger’s cards are invalid both by system and Cricket live CSR. Now both sides asked me to get solution from the other side. Credit card said they will process my dispute after the transaction is posted and recommended me to get a confirmation from Cricket that those card are invalid. Hopefully helpful.
