Check your Kroger coupons for the following offers:

Save a digital coupon to get 4x fuel points on Visa and Mastercard $100, $50, or $25 fixed-value gift cards. (Does not work on variable-load Visa/MC gift cards.)
Save a digital coupon to get 4x fuel points on third party gift cards. (Excludes Amazon.)

You should see these coupons for all Kroger-family brands. Deal usually becomes available at Harris Teeter as well in roughly the same time period. Typically, gift cards earn 2x, and occasionally they’ll put out offers like these to bump it up to 4x.

Our Verdict

When maxed out on a 35-gallon fill, 4x fuel points can amount to a 14% discount on gas. Select Kroger stores now allow redeeming fuel points for groceries now as well.

Deal is valid online and in-store. Remember to use a card that earns at a high rate on grocery store purchases. There is also a Chase offer for 10% back.

At least at my local Kroger store (Ralphs), as of today there’s a new offer: 4x on gift cards with no LOCAL language, through 4/1/25.

And the timing of that makes sense, since the previous offer currently listed above was only through 3/18/25, which was yesterday.

The link here is dead, but that coupon is still showing on my local Kroger’s store’s (Ralphs) website, even if I open it in a private window so that it doesn’t recognize that I already loaded that coupon previously.

So you may want to check your local Kroger store’s website to see if it’s offered there.

Maybe they just removed it from the general Kroger website because perhaps a small subset of Kroger brands no longer supported that coupon?

BUT:

As already discussed below, and also mentioned above, this coupon is only for LOCAL gift cards, with no good definition of what LOCAL means. It hasn’t worked for most people for most national brand gift cards.

So if you’re not about to buy a LOCAL gift card, the coupon may not be worth seeking out.

No HT in my area however it only applies to local GCs. Besides VGC/AMZN, restrictions include DoorDash,BBY, Starbucks, and other nationwide retailers, which still only receive 2x.

Just purchased a $100 fixed value MGC. Only regular 2X. No 4X points. I think this coupon doesn’t include fixed value VGC/MGC.

My current promo (near Cincy) is, “Get 4x Fuel Points when you buy participating LOCAL gift card(s).” The emphasis is theirs on the word LOCAL, as opposed to all 3rd party GCs (excluding Amazon).

I purchased a One4All card (because I had a coupon to get 200 bonus fuel points on it) at Ralphs, the local Kroger store in SoCal, and also only earned 2x on it.

And other people above have mentioned other national brands also getting only 2x.

So LOCAL must mean LOCAL, but I can’t find either a list or explanation of what exactly they consider LOCAL.

And almost all of the cards on the gift card racks SEEM like national brands or at least regional ones.

But they haven’t explained “how local” they mean, ie, only places that have locations only within the city, or within the state, or only within the “region”???

Very confusing.
