The Offer

Direct Link to offer | Clip coupon here

  • Clip digital coupon to save $10 when you buy $150 or more in Visa or Mastercard gift cards in denominations of $100, $50, or $25.

Same deal should be valid at any of the Kroger-family stores.

The Fine Print

  • Valid 1/8/20 – 1/21/20
  • Offer excludes Mastercard® and/or Visa® Multipacks and Variable Load Gift Cards. While supplies last. No rain checks.

  • Limit one coupon per customer.

  • Subject to availability. The Gift Cards cannot be reloaded with additional funds, nor can they be used at an ATM (Automated Teller Machine). For use in the U.S. only. No cash access. Terms and conditions apply and other fees may apply to Gift Cards. See gift card package for details. The Gift Cards are issued by U.S. Bank National Association pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc. or Mastercard International Incorporated. Mastercard and the Mastercard Brand Mark are registered trademarks of Mastercard International Incorporated. Product and offer may not be available in all states.

Our Verdict

You’ll have to buy two cards and pay two activation fees in order to meet this offer. So either $100 and $100 or $100 and $50 would make the most sense. The $10 off will wipe out most of the activation fee cost. Use Discover or Citi Dividend this quarter for 5% or use a card that earns a bonus at the grocery.

“Looks like the coupon is unavailable.
We’re sorry! It looks like this coupon is unavailable. This could be for a number of reasons and we are looking into it!”

Why did Chase even bother with offers when they suck so much. A whole $3 maximum gee thanks Chase.

That’s on dining and movie theater gift cards. Won’t work in VGC and MCGC

Hoang likely not, as the 4x fuel coupon isn’t for vgc/mc

Oh I see … Just read the term detail it is indeed not Vgc/mc

After discount, the fee is $0.95 per $100 (assuming you’re buying two $100 cards)
For variable cards, the fee is $1.19 per $100 all day long.

Meh.
Maybe if you value the fuel points and are able to get all 35 gallons.

John won’t likely work on variable; terms say that is excluded

He didn’t say this coupon works on variable, he said the fees on variable are so much lower that this coupon is no bargain.

Me and my cousin bought a few 5-gallons cans. We always get all 35 gallons 🙂

I’ll take $35 off gas all day long! A few gas cans and a truck fill up takes care of that.

It ends up being $14 off gas. You earn 40 cents per gallon with this deal. But if Kroger has a 4x weekend then you could get 80 cents per gallon.

$10 not $15. More hassle than it’s worth for $100 cards.

Stack with Drop if you can and/or the Chase/BofA/PNC offers as well. This combined with the fee-free MO coupon can still be plenty profitable.
