Check your Kroger stores coupons for the following offers:
- Save a digital coupon to get 4x fuel points on Visa and Mastercard $100, $50, or $25 fixed-value gift cards. (Does not work on variable-load Visa/MC gift cards.)
- Save a digital coupon to get 4x fuel points on participating third party gift cards.
Typically, gift cards earn 2x, and occasionally they’ll put out offers like these to bump it up to 4x. You should see these coupons for all Kroger-family brands. Deal usually becomes available at Harris Teeter as well in roughly the same time period.
Our Verdict
The third party gift card deal should work for mostly all third party gift card brands. We haven’t heard this deal to be on Visa/MC gift cards, it might be only third-party gift cards this time. Remember to use a card that earns at a high rate on grocery store purchases.

Just to clarify this means that VGCs > $100 are excluded from generating fuel points? Do they still generate 2x regular fuel points?

I’ve bought Visa/MC gift cards at Safeway stores for the fuel rewards, but I’ll be travelling next month in an area where they have no participating gas stations. So I’d like to do Kroger points instead. But if the max VGC card is only $100, why would this make much sense to do if you have to pay the gift card fee (which I assume is about 5 bucks)?
How many are you limited to per customer?
Infinite. Register can lock up around 16 to 18 cards in a transaction. Technically a $2k limit per day but whatever.
Hi I am wondering if anyone can offer assistance or advice, I recently purchased 2 VISA gift cards as part of the last promotion but accidently entered in the wrong city for my billing address, and per my conversation with BlackHawk Network that is the reason why both cards arrived with $0 balances, I talked to them on the phone the day they arrived(yesterday) and they stated they would process a refund, but today I get an email stating they can’t process the refund and all sales are final.
Does anyone have experience with this?

I had good luck getting BlackHawk to resolve a couple of problems for me, but it worked better over the phone than email, using the number on back of the card
I always feel left out driving an electric vehicle.
You presumably also feel more left out during this low-travel era of Covid? I presume you don’t always get an electric vehicle why you fly and then have to rent a car at your destination, do you?
It says “Looks like the coupon is unavailable” for both coupon links for me. SW Ohio region. Maybe it’s not available yet?
Many Kroger brands (including mine, Ralphs, in SoCal) don’t show a coupon until the Wednesday morning that they become active. So in this case it should work by Wednesday 3/24 at the latest.
It’s nice to be alerted here a couple days early so you can plan a bit, but you may have to wait until the start date of the promo until you can definitely register at all participating Kroger brands.
Same- didn’t see it yesterday but it’s in my app today. Sometimes I see the coupon a few days in advance, though.
Been waiting for this to come back. Just upgraded to CSR. Planning to stack, Kroger 4x fuel points, $300 travel credit, extra 2x for groceries and cash out some points with PYB.
