Bonus posted fast! Last of my 25 debit transactions were completed 12/16 and I parked over $1000 in high interest savings when I opened. $100 bonus was credited 12/18, and $50 bonus credited 12/20.

wow, that’s incredible. i went slow & steady with my debits (using Google Wallet) and it took a couple weeks for the DD to set up (employer). Still waiting – though i expected i’d have to wait the 31 days like the offer says…

Just a reminder to make sure you are enrolled in e-statements for the bonus!

I opted to do this bonus because I needed to hit MS on a new credit card and got declined by PNC 🙁
Here is my DP:

Opened online 12/1 with the promo. The savings is the default membership account and then you can add the Cashback Free Checking and High Interest Savings to your application. I was able to fund EACH account with $1001 for a total of $3003 to my Citi AA Business card.

The application does not get auto approved online but goes to a banker. I was notified morning of 12/2 by email that I had been approved, and was contacted by a banker to explain the account and answer any questions. After I e-signed the application docs, my funding was charged in three separate transactions to my Citi card.

Great bank account if you need to hit MS on a Visa/Mastercard. Because it’s a hard pull, I think I am going to keep it open after bonus. No fees associated with any of the accounts, and the high interest 4.00% savings up to $1500 is better than my main bank – just have to keep the checking active with debit transactions as noted above to get the high interest.

Applied online. I had to call for the status(not even an e-mail). The said to go into a branch and finish opening. Had to go to a branch in Lee Summit-NOT St.Louis to get the bonus. The old hard pull. Probably you have to beg to get the bonus, too.

any idea what they consider a DD? I transferred some money in from Schwab Brokerage, and it literally says “Direct Deposit: Schwab” on the line item.

I haven’t received the debit card yet, so i can’t meet the rest of teh requirements – i assume the APY listed on the account will adjust when i meet the requirements (like how CCU-IL does).

Any idea what “single Checking-suffix” means?

Credit unions have a weird account number system. Your account number will be 12345-xx, so for example:
– 01 is a savings account
– 09 is a checking account
– 05 is a money market
– 08 is a CD
– 02 is the Christmas club savings, etc.

It varies by CU, so the numbers above are just made up.

I’m assuming that the debits must come from a single checking account – you can’t have 8 debits from the -09 account and 7 debits from the -05 account to qualify for the promotion. All need to come from the same account, or suffix as they refer to it.

Per the rep I spoke with a few months ago there is a hard pull to open any account, but they use that pull for any credit requests for 30-60 days afterwards.

If they had a decent card offer it wouldnt be so bad to combine a checking / savings / cc with 1 pull on TU. No idea what kind of cc they offer though so ill pass

Nothing special. They have a 0% for 12 months card and one that pays 1.5% cash back.

They did send me a mailer for a car loan at 2.99% a month or so ago. Again, nothing special but on par for top credit score loans from the local banks.

I did 2k and 2k on Citi AA Biz w/cash limit set to $500. Not auto rejected, but said they would contact me to complete application. I did get a hard pull on TU. I live in St. Louis County.

According to the fee schedule, you have to keep it open for 6 months or else the closing fee is the promotional payment.

looks like Visa/Mastercard funding. Not sure of the Max amount. I did $500 and $500, and it didn’t auto-reject me. But it appears the online form does not have any sort of d-base pull or approval/scanning – it submits it for a banker to complete later.

If i get approved, that’ll mean it’s not a hard pull, as i have a freeze on all 3 bureaus.

I don’t live in St Louis County, but i work in it. And i wasn’t asked WHERE i work, or the address, so maybe you can fudge it? But if a banker calls, i suppose you’ll have to gin up an address or something.

Hard Pull – transunion. i did a temporary unfreeze and it went thru no problem. Very nice CSR’s.

CC went thru – looks likea purchase. I did $1000 total across 3 accounts – Checking/Savings/HighIntSavings. I had to actually call them to verify some ID details/finalize things, but i didn’t ask if there was a limit to the CC funding.

Also: according to the CSR the 15 debits per month can be 5 cents each – no minimum amount for each transaction.

coded as a purchase; Commerce Bank Cash Back card – odd choice i know, but i’m maxing out my 12mo of 0% APY.
