Our Verdict
Their previous bonus was one of our all time favorite bonuses as it had no requirements and it was on the free checking account. This is still a great bonus, you’re just going to have to pay the monthly fees for the first three months (maybe longer depending on how long it takes for your bonus to post). We’ve added this bonus to our best bank account bonus list, but it’s not as high as their previous bonus was.
Big thanks to reader, Jeff H who let us know. Please consider sharing bank bonuses with this site so we can make it even better.

DP
Successfully closed Pinnacle Bank Diamond Secure Checking account over phone . The balance was brought down to zero before calling them .
Had tried via chat initially which failed.
Thanks added DP
Docm, did you use the 800-number or did you call a branch?
I was told both over chat and by phone at the 800-number (800-227-7715) that I needed to visit a branch to close. I was given the address and telephone number of the branch nearest my address. I haven’t tried calling it yet, but that’s my next step and I’ll report back.
Calling a branch instead of the 800-number worked fine.
Just noticed this bonus is active through Dec. 31, 2017.
I opened my account on 7/5/17; qualified for the bonus on 10/3/17, received it on 10/13/17. Services fees were charged on 8/21 and 9/22.
Has anyone not been charged the monthly fee of $4? I opened a diamond secure account 8/29 funding with a credit card. I pulled out most of the funding money on 9/5. It’s been sitting there since and no fees have been charged yet.
I was wondering if previously having a Bank of Colorado account in the last 48 months will disqualify me from getting this bonus, since they are sister banks. Austin’s June 7th comments seems to suggest that. Anyone know for sure?
‘Offer expires September 30, 2017.’
I opened an account with them over a week ago, they have my money but still no account online! Keep getting the run around. Not worth it.
Site now says “Offer expires August 31, 2017.”
A couple of data points:
In the last two weeks or so I funded with a Chase Hyatt that posted as a purchase and my girlfriend funded with a Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards Plus which funded as a deposit as well.
Sorry – for my girlfriend it should say “posted as a purchase as well”.
Any DP on receiving the bonus? I signed up 6/30/17 and nothing yet.
Nothing yet.
$100 bonus posted 10/13/17
Received the following message at the end of my application: “You do not qualify for the product you requested.”
Odd…high credit score and very few new checking accounts opened this year.
