Our Verdict

See our review of Kudos here to learn more about them. The 25% will only be if you have a card which earns 5% at the merchant, in which case Kudos would give you an extra 20% for going through their portal. Note: the rewards comes as Amazon gift card, not cash.

If someone has a card which earns 3x on Travel, you should be able to get an extra 12% back from Kudos on top of that for the travel merchants here, such as Choice Hotels. Let us know if there are other merchants that you find interesting with this deal.

Personally, I’m seeing Kudos offer me 12% bonus at Giftcards.com on top of the 3% which I’d earn with my Blue Cash Everyday card which is saved in my Kudos wallet. 12% back on Giftcards.com is excellent. Exclusions mentioned by Kudos: “Online Purchase is greater than 2000 or Purchase with Coupon Code.”

Kudos also offers a $20 bonus to those who signup using a referral link and make a purchase at a purchase on a boost merchant. My appreciation if you use my referral link. The signup link will prompt you to add the Kudos chrome/safari extension and then to signup for an account by adding your name and credit cards. In the signup process there will be a box for a referral code, my code is CEDAR_KUDOS. We’ll each get $20 if you use it and complete the qualifications. Note: It takes a while for your $20 bonus to post, see the comments in the main post for more discussion.

As a PSA, this seems to have worked fine for me. I did a small purchase at Dick’s with store pickup. Put the bare minimum of info in Kudos as part of my set-up. (No connecting bank account, etc) It was interesting how Kudos could literally fill in my info on the Dick’s checkout page. I already see the transaction as pending in my Kudos account. Whether it actually pays out the $20+ is a different story but we shall see. Thanks for the info, Chuck!

I believe Kudos doesn’t stack with cashback sites and most CB sites offer higher % payouts.

Kudos at 25% can be very lucrative (assuming it tracks)

Blue cash everyday shows 1% cashback for a total cashback of 5%, same as another DP in the comment. Anyone else seeing 3% and 12% cashback on BCE?

“Up to 25%”
Forget the rest.
The key words are “Up to”

Is this thing real? 5% cash back cards for online purchases exist. How is this profitable for them to give 20% portal cash back? Where does the money come from?

OK, the payout is not cash but gift cards, so reduce the value by 10%. What are the chances this never pays out?
