General
During the current high-interest environment, 0% APR offers can be useful for cashing out and parking the cash in a high-yield savings account or CD. These are typically found with new credit card approvals, and occasionally banks will send them out for existing customers as well.
Some readers asked for a list of 0% APR cards, and so I’ve put what I found (some from the comments a recent post where I discussed using a 0% APR offer). Hopefully readers will add and update this list as things evolve. I’ll try adding below any 0% offer of 12 months or longer. Feel free to discuss offers and strategies in the comments below.
Below we’ve listed all cards we’ve found which have 0% APR on purchases and/or balance transfers for 12 months or more. If you use the 0% purchases option there won’t be any fees. Most 0% balance transfer offers have an initial fee, typically it’s 3-5%. We’ve listed below a few options with no fee at all.
We only list cards which have a completely fee-free option: either 0% APR on purchases or 0% on balance transfers with no initial balance transfer fee.
Caveats
A few caveats:
- Be sure to always double-check that there is no initial transaction fee (typically it’s 3%), especially for balance transfers – even when it’s 0% there’s often an initial 3% fee with those.
- Always be sure to check the details well before applying on the actual card application page. Offers are constantly changing, and even the same card might have differing APR offers, depending on the card version or the offer landing page.
- With some banks you only get a small window (say, 60 days) where you can make a purchase or balance transfer to trigger the 0% APR offer. With other issuers, you get the full offer window (e.g. 12 months) to make the purchase or transfer and still get the 0% APR offer.
- And finally, be sure to always make the minimum payments. And be sure to pay off the balance entirely before the promotional period ends!
A few other general notes:
- Many banks will allow you to reallocate your credit lines. If you have a card with 0% APR, you might easily be able to shift over credit from a different card to increase your credit line on the 0% card. See this post for a bank-by-bank break down.
- If you carry a balance on a personal credit card it can have a major negative impact on your credit score.
- If you carry a balance on a business credit card it typically will not affect your personal credit score. See this post where we break this down bank-by-bank.
- If you quickly rack up a lot of debt on your credit report or with a given bank, it might make them nervous about bust-out fraud and can potentially result in shutdowns.
- Even when done slowly, some banks might be less likely to approve your future credit card applications.
- If you are someone who struggles with debt, playing this APR game is probably not best for you.

I’m liking the US Bank Triple Cash card. $750 SUB and 12 months 0% APR. I’m on my 3rd card with them.
Thats a baller move! Can you give some more DPs?
How long between them, ssn,ein or etc? thank you
-Applied 7/23/24 – SSN – Just used my name and put LLC at the end (not really a registered LLC)
-Applied 9/25/24 – EIN for a registered LLC
-Applied 2/7/25 – EIN for a registered LLC
2 for me and one for spouse. I’ll probably try spouse name LLC next go around. They’ve given me a good CL each time so I’ve just been maxing out the card and leaving the funds in a HYSA for the 12 months.
The $750 SUB is great and it’s a business card so it doesn’t mess up Chase 5/24
Which 2 are yours? 7/2024 and 2/2025?
Yes. I’ve just been rotating back and forth once I hit my spending.
when you are maxing out the card are you doing regular spend, buying groups, or banks that allow credit card funding? im wondering where the most value and oppurtunity is.
Regular buying and banks that allow cc funding. Including US Bank. Ha. After I got the card, they sent me an offer for a checking account promo. I was allowed to fund it with $3k cc so I used the US Bank card.
Soung like a good deal, i had one with ssn other with ein 0% apr carrying balances then applied for another biz card from small local bank but missed it was also Elan underwriting, and got denied for carrying high balances 😐
Thats why i was curious how you got all 3 but it’s clear now 👌
Thats a great data point.
Any besides AMEX that offer pre approval?
Is Amex Everyday (non-blue, non-cash) dead?
@Chuck
You have Atlantic Union Bank business card in the consumer card section.
Fixed, thx
Navy Federal currently has 0% for 12 months on balance transfers with no transfer fees on their cash rewards card. Promo supposed to end 3/31.
Updated
Thanks for the list. Hopefully the American Express Blue Business Plus will have a higher SUB soon.
I got a targeted 50k offer via email and pulled the trigger on that.
Data Point on city they sent me all kinds of 0% 18 month offers so I signed up for one. I have a 800+ credit score. They gave me a $500 credit limit which is 100% useless for a balance transfer be advised. And good luck getting a customer service rep that speaks English.
Choose eSpanish…
Then say disculpe i thought i pressed English. as 99% of them are billingual 😉
Amex everyday discontinued and Chase United Gateway is zero APR
Updated, thx
Amex everyday discontinued and Chase United Gateway has zero APR
The list is for 12 months and higher
I guess that’s mentioned offhand in the description, but also the AmEx Business Gold is included and is only 6 months of 0%. The comment below explains that it is included because so many people get it, but if so many get it, why does it need to be called out (especially because if you already got it, it’s harder to get again)?
A lot of people get Gold for the bonus so it’s good to know that there’s an added reason for the 6 months APR
