Many banks don’t charge any incoming wire transfer fee, and most banks charge $20-$25 for an outgoing domestic wire. That amount does vary; as an example, Ally Bank charges just $20.
I wasn’t aware until today that some banks don’t charge at all for outgoing wire transfers. I thought to start a list here of such options and readers can submit whatever else they know to help complete the list. Thanks.
Below we’ll list only banks who offer entirely free outgoing wire transfers. Some banks will offer this to all customers, yet others will only offer it for relationship customers or for certain types of accounts. If there are any banks that offer outgoing international wires free we’ll list those here as well.
Always be sure to find the bank’s fee schedule to confirm for yourself before using the information presented since the there may be errors and the policies can change. Also, remember, some banks charge an incoming wire fee, so even if you use one of the banks listed below to send the wire there might still be a charge for the recipient.

I wish this list was there a few months back. I had to do a WT in a hurry and had no time to research much. I could have easily done it for free from my dormant Marcus but ended up spending $25. Thanks for putting this together.
