American Express acquired LoungeBuddy in 2019 and then closed it down in 2024/2025. There is now a new tool called Loungepedia but it’s only available on iOS. Personally I don’t see the reason for these types of products to be app based in the first place, but not launching with Android is even worse.
The app does have some nice features including the ability to add your credit cards and then search lounges by ones that you can access (you can also add your status and do the same thing).
Tried it and it’s rather primitive. I’m partial to LoungeReview. They have a web site and iOS and Android apps. You can plug in your itineraries or import from TripIt. It also appears to be much more up-to-date and comprehensive.
Agreed. LoungeReview is the best resource out there. Not sure why the blogs don’t seem to ever call it out.
I personally did like Lounge Buddy and did find a use for such apps. When traveling I often have access to various lounges through various methods. Being able to go to loungebuddy and see where I could take guests, which lounges accepted my membersips, etc was extremely helpful
+1 for Lounge Review.
This Lounge is another one, web only though.
It’s so out-of-date that it’s not even funny.
Been using Lounge Review for over a year. Web sie, app, whatever you want. It’s very comprehensive.
Sounds like a pedophile app
The suffix “-pedia” means relating to learning. Do you think an encyclopedia is a pedophile book?
Hey now that’s too much logic for
avsterbone ‘s maga-brain.

Unfortunately, companies are trending towards having more functionality in their apps than their website. Case in point: Geico.
LoungeReview.com is another alternative
not very user friendly and needs lotsa improvements. let’s see where this goes from here
