Seems overly complicated since you need to use their own app to do the DD. Not sure fake DDs would work for this?

Please be careful, this account has an outgoing fee of $3.I believe push from this bank would lead to this fee. Please pull from outside.

Is termination fee information correct here? I don’t see anything like that on the account opening page?

Just opened an account and saw the pinwheel stuff.. I wonder if I avoid logging in and just download the direct deposit form that pinwheel gives you at the end, then set up payroll myself normally, would that work.. Id rather not deal with HR for this lol

Either way I guess im keeping this open with $10 minimum in it for the next twelve months hahaha

I’m pretty confident that you won’t actually need to submit the form generated by Pinwheel. It’s just a voided check with Pinwheel branding at the bottom. I would just save a copy for your record, add your DD info the usual way, and call it a day.

It’s their direct deposit plugin / app, part of the online access. I ran through it on my account and you have to login to your payroll provider to set up DD with it. For me this would be impossible since my provider requires SSO. Not to mention, do I want to pass my payroll login creds through their application? Someone should contact them about what you do to qualify if you can’t connect your payroll provider through pinwheel. I didn’t run into this as it wasn’t a requirement when I setup my account.

I have the same problem and ended up contacting them. They said you would have to use the “Use a Form” option to be eligible for the credit. I think you send the form to HR, who fills it out and sends it back to them or something. Either way, I’m out. Too much work.

Matt You can read about my experience months ago here: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/berkshire-bank-up-to-5-apy-and-100-referral-bonus/#comment-1948202 . The process may be less painful now. There are a couple different posts on this bank.

This one for referrals: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/berkshire-bank-up-to-5-apy-and-100-referral-bonus/

and a post from way back in 2017
