Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
Silver checking has no monthly fee to worry about. You do need to opt out of paper statements otherwise a $4 fee will be charged.
Early Account Termination Fee
I wasn’t able to find a fee schedule so I’m unsure if there is any early account termination fee or not.
Our Verdict
Still need to know if it’s a hard or soft pull, it’s a shame they are ChexSystems sensitive though (although they aren’t sensitive in branch). I suspect most people that would want to do this bonus wouldn’t be eligible because of this. If anybody does go for it then please share your experiences in the comments below. I won’t add it to the best bank bonuses until we know more.

I think this bonus has expired. There’s no mention of it on the linked page, and nothing showed up in Google.
Thanks, updated
How do we know it’s for MA residents only? I don’t see any restrictions for non-MA residents in the application.
Hey Will, I opened this in branch. I’m happy to report the opening process was very quick and easy and they are NOT Chex sensitive in branch (I always have about one Chex inquiry per month on average). Soft pull.
Some things to note: a) while the silver checking account has no monthly fee, be careful to enable estatements, otherwise there is a $4 a month fee. They could not enable this in branch, I had to log in and do so. b) After you fulfill the requirements, they do something very unusual. They send you a coupon which you must take into branch, and then from there, they use that to deposit the $100 bonus into your account. This is what I was told in branch. So you might want to slightly edit your description of what to do. That incentive coupon needs to be taken into branch.
Thanks, added to post
Also, got my Chex report. They do pull Chex and leave an inquiry. Not surprising there.
Plus 1 chex sensitive probably close to Jesse’s numbers
Online or in branch?
I live within the designated area and applied on 7/9/18. I was denied the next day with a “Notice of Adverse Action”. I have opened 12 accounts within the last seven months and four in the last week prior to being denied for this bank.
