The Offer
Many retailers are selling Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 and Bose QuietComfort 45 Noise Cancelling Headphones at a discount. (affiliate links below)

Our Verdict
Both are solid deals. Some might find this a nice way to use up their Amex Business Platinum $200 credit on Dell. This is a good deal from any of these retailers. The Best Buy option can stack well with the Chase Offer, and the Amazon option works well in conjunction with their Shop With Points and other deals.
Normal link for the $199 White QC 45 shows out of stock at Dell. The following link does allow orders still:

no highs no lows
Rakuten had 15% cashback on dell.com + 5% Discover cashback through Paypal on the $199 white version is the best deal for common plebs like me without the Amex platinum business!
The $199 Dell ones are shown as OOS. $229 ones still available.
Does anyone have any comments on QC45 versus the 700 model?
I prefer the QC45 as the case is smaller and easier to carry around. The 700 case is bulkier as it is not made to be foldable. The advantage with the 700 is that the noise cancelling is adjustable so you can lower it in quiter environments (less ear ache), but you have to use an app to control it.
Noise canceling is also adjustable on the QC45, as well as the QC 35 II. You press the button on the lower left ear cup.
Does anyone know if I purchase the headphones on dell for $199 with the 10% amex offer plus the $200 business platinum credit if amex is going to claw back the $200 credit if the total ends up being negative? $219 (200+tax) – $22 (10% credit) – $200 ($200 credit). Please let me know if anyone has had experience with this. Thank you
No, they stack fine. No clawbacks.
Actually, there have been clawbacks on these in the past. If you spend $200, they might give you $20 credit for the AMEX Offer and then only $180 for the regular $200 credit. You’d want to spend $222 to use everything up, since then you’d get $22 for the AMEX Offer which leaves you with $200 spend for the credit.
Wrong. There were numerous reports in the past where Amex clawed back the 10% credit months later. Bottom line, you do not f around with Amex, they petty.
I know there was once such an issue. I’m not sure if they’ve done that recently or it’s more of a historic risk.
Dell is canceling these, at least for me.
