  • eGiftCards do not expire.

Our Verdict

This sells out within seconds. As I recall, once you put the item in your cart you have a few minutes to checkout, it’s getting it to your cart that needs to be quick.

I got in on this in prior years, it does necessitate being by a device the second it goes live and refreshing the page. The $500 card offers the best savings. These are ordinary gift cards which don’t expire. Could be a reselling play depending on your selling relationships.

Thanks DOC- I got in on 3x $100 gift cards. Had to refresh multiple times. Seems like right at 1 pm ET the page freezes.

Then again there’re Amex offers for Marriott properties that come by at least semi regularly.

You’re not kidding about these selling out in seconds! I refreshed right at 1pm EST per my clock, and they were all sold out….

Got 1 X $250 & 1 X $100. Guess it just requires persistence. Last year gave up as everything is sold out in like 1-2 seconds…kept refreshing and pressing buy now for 5 minutes….finally two hunts 🙂
Thanks DoC

Got a $250 card, not sure what I’ll use it for yet as I have a good stockpile of SPG/Marriott points. Guess I’m an easy sell, DoC says buy and I buy.

How did you have time to change the quantity to 2? It was sold out on my first click after refresh?

Add me to the 1x$250 group. Congrats to anyone able to pick one of these up! It seemed like all of the denominations were totally claimed within about 3 minutes.

Got one of the $500 for $400. Pretty sweet deal, used my BoA Travel Rewards so I’ll get 2.65% back on the $400 I spent, effectively making this $389.40 for $500 gift card

Cong! I got one last year but still haven’t used it (for business travel, I am required to use corporation card; for my own, I tend to use points or prestige card. So it is a shame that it still sits there.

So my advise is to use it quickly otherwise, you are making a far “Advanced payment” with 20% off discount.

Seems like other readers were able to purchase, I wasn’t actually even going to post due to how fast these sell out but Chuck posted when he had a chance to write the article. Posting 15 mins before is better than not posting at all.
