Update 11/24/25: citizensM properties are now bookable through Marriott. You can also redeem and earn Marriott points at these properties.
Marriott has announced plans to acquire citizenM in a $355 million deal. citizensM has 36 currently open hotels with 8,544 rooms with another 3 under construction that would add an additional 600 rooms. The deal is expected to close late this year. Currently it’s possible to do a free status match to citizensM (h/t to VFTW), although you do need to be a paid member. Don’t think it’s really worth considering as it’s unclear if citizensM status would grant you any useful status with Marriott
