Marriott To Acquire Elegant Hotels For $130 Million (7 Hotels In Barbados With 588 Rooms)

Marriott has announced that it will acquire Elegant hotels for £100.8 million ($130.1 million). Elegant owns and operates 7 hotels in Barbados with a total of 588 rooms. Marriott has also announced that it will conduct renovations on all of these properties and once these renovations have been completed they will be run as all inclusive properties. In addition Marriott plans to sell these properties (but will keep long term management contracts in place). No timeframe has been given for when Marriott expects these properties to become bookable, or the timeline for the renovations themselves.
