Master List Of Referral Threads & Reopening Notifications

Readers have requested that we occasionally reopen referral threads so that people can share their links if they missed out on originally sharing them. We have decided to create a master list of referral threads and also list what threads are currently open. When a post is reopened I’ll update this thread and also post a comment below to inform people, you can subscribe to comments so that you get an e-mail when a thread is reopened. Reopened threads will normally remain reopened for 24-48 hours.

It’s important that you do not share your link/information in a reopened thread if you’ve already shared it as you’re only allowed to share your link once. If you do share it again you will have both removed, that link will be permanently banned and if you do it again you will lose the ability to share referrals on the site at all. You can search for your name by clicking the hamburger icon (three lines) and clicking ‘author’ if you’re unsure if you have already shared one.

Doing this is likely to cause additional work/moderation on my end so please hold each other accountable or we will simply stop reopening threads. Additionally I’ll only be adding referral threads that were posted in the last week as I can’t be bothered going through the back catalog. If you think there is a particularly big/important thread (think bonuses on the best credit card or bank account bonus thread) you think should be included then comment it below and I’ll add them.

Remember to only use referral links from people that you find helpful on the site, as they deserve to be rewarded. Also I’m thinking it probably makes sense to link to the actual bonus thread (with title) and then the referral next to it but I’m open to ideas.

We are also open to ideas that better rewards readers that make helpful contributions rather than the last people to leave a link getting lots of referrals or enabling random mode (please stop asking for random mode. I don’t want another thread derailed).

If you think there is a better way to handle notifications of reopened threads, let me know. I could make a new newsletter that only sends an e-mail when one of these threads is reopened but that is a bit of additional work on my end so I’d prefer to see if this page works fine first.
