(Update 5/25/23: Reader JC reports that this has been fixed and it’s now working again on pickup orders.)
Mastercard World and World Elite cardholders get $5 off their first DoorDash order each month. Many readers are noticing that this is now only working for delivery orders. The discount no longer works for pickup orders.
The Mastercard benefit continues at least through September. Separately, that benefit used to offer two $5 credits per month, but it apparently changed at some point to just once per month.
I don’t believe this change is affecting the Chase Sapphire Reserve $5 monthly benefit (that benefit is also more useful since it can accumulate to become a $15 benefit).
Got the confirmation from DoorDash support that Mastercard World Elite $5 off promo was discontinued since 9/23/2023. They said they may sent the notification via email but I didn’t received any notice. Have any of you received the notice? It’s so annoying to find out right before I place the order.
Never got the MC $5 either this month nor any notification about the benefit ending. Guess it’s only the CSR left which has any credits for DD. A bit easier to keep track of since we can at least stack them for the quarter.

Apparentally the $5 discount ended 9/30/23 with mastercard? the offer isnt applying on either of my cards.
From the doordash rep “Existing Subscribers on this plan will no longer receive a $5 off monthly promotion, and will continue to pay $9.99 if in a paid state already”
Does it work if you already have a dash pass from CSP?
It works for pickup orders but not delivery orders. If you try to pay with your MasterCard with a delivery order it will give you a message saying your DashPass benefits won’t apply unless you select your Sapphire card.
Can you use more than one world/world elite card to get the $5 dollar credit? I just pull all my cards in and the credit is not showing for any of them. I used my prestige credit this month.
You cannot combine multiple World/Elite MC into one order. It has to be individual orders on each card.
DoorDash promos are always frustrating as hell if you don’t add them in exactly the right order. I had a promo for 50% off with EAT4LESS applied and then a pop up for free DashPass trial appeared at checkout. I wanted to get the MasterCard credit for later use anyway so I started the trial. Then the 50% promo was removed and replaced with the $5 MC credit, so I tried typing in the 50% code again but got an error saying the promo is not valid for DashPass members. Now both promos disappeared and I can’t get either back even if I cancel DashPass as the trial stays valid until September. WTF?
Anyone know how to get the $5 MasterCard credit to reappear?
Sweet, I was able to use Mastercard $5 on pickup for the last day of the month and combined it with some of the $5 CSR credit.
