Last year I posted a deal where anybody could get free Hertz Gold Plus Rewards President’s Circle status and then yesterday I showed you how to use that status to leverage status with other car rental agencies. I also made mention that if you’re a Mastercard World Elite cardholder you could also get president’s circle status. This post will go through that in some more detail.
The Offer
- Mastercard World Elite cardholders can receive free Hertz Gold Plus Rewards President’s Circle Status.
- New members sign up using the link above (might also need to e-mail as mentioned below)
- Existing members send an e-mail to [email protected]. You must provide proof that you have a World Elite Mastercard and the following CDP 1795034.
The Fine Print
- The upgraded Gold Plus Rewards President’s Circle status will be processed within 5 days of enrolment. Your membership back will be sent within 2-3 weeks. Please opt-in to receive marketing communications at time of enrolment to receive confirmation of your membership status.

We regret to inform you that upon further review of this promotion, only residents of the Middle East are eligible and therefore we will not be able to upgrade your status with this promotion.

Has anybody tried using Statement of Citi Prestige Credit card? The statement does not mention “World Elite Master Card”. But will they know that Citi Prestige is a World Elite Mastercard? I am reluctant to sent a photo of my Credit Card. If Statement will not work, is there any other way?
DP of no longer working. Signed up with Citi DoubleCash and sent email on 1/9. Got the following response:
“Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the MasterCard World Elite promotion for an automatic upgrade to our Gold Plus Rewards President’s Circle Tier. We regret to inform you that upon further review of this promotion, US residents are not eligible and therefore we will not be able to upgrade your status with this promotion.”
Just got that same exact response today. Definitely no longer working for those of us in the US.

Got an email from Hertz that the promotion is not valid for US Residents :/
The Direct Link provided in this posting took me to a Hertz page with British English spelling which led me to believe that this offer was intended for the UK /European market.
Also the fine print on the bottom of the pages reads “This programme does not apply to US Mastercard World Elite cardholder residents.”
From the previous comments in this posting, it appears that at least some US based Mastercard World Elite cardholders are able to get the offer. However those of you considering applying for a new Mastercard World Elite in order to qualify for this offer should consider that YMMV and that this offer is not intended for US Mastercard World Elite cardholders.
Just received a response from Hertz and indeed, they denied me on the basis that the promotion is not available for US residents. Would be worth updating the top of the post with this important exclusion.

Signed up online 1/5. Got Gold status. Sent the email same day, just requested help explained I was supposed to be Pres Circle, got reply today asking for a copy of my latest World Elite credit card statement or screenshot of it. Used my BC Arrival+, will update when account is updated to Pres Circle.

The Capital One Quicksilver card is also being issued as a world elite mastercard, however I can’t find any documentation to show this kind of offer with Hertz in the capital one or mastercard websites. Would this promotion still be applicable as it is outlined here or would the offer vary according to which kind of card? Any DPs on Hertz honoring this with a Quicksilver World Elite Mastercard?
