Some stores are cash only, others will accept credit card. Most stores should code as a grocery store, so use a card that earns at a high rate on those purchases or use this discount to meet minimum spend requirements.

Will this work without a rewards account?

My Meijer had denominations up to $200. $200 AmEx, MC, and Visa cards were available for a $6.95 fee, $100 cards had a $5.95 fee. No signage of the offer was to be found, but the discount was applied to the order automatically. My Meijer codes as a grocery store on my BCP.

Not having $500 cards makes this more trouble than its really worth when it comes to liquidating, but I actually did need a $200 gift card for an actual gift, so thanks for the post.
