Our Verdict
I believe Meijer sells electronics like iPads and the like, sounds like the coupon would work on that. Hopefully Meijer shoppers will chime in with the best angles here. Nice $500 max discount amount.
Use Discover or Dividend for 5% this quarter or use a card that always earns a bonus at the grocery.Â
Thanks to the reader who sent this in
You had to buy $100 in groceries last week to get a physical coupon for $10 off your purchase this week.
This ^
got it up until yday; for week endin’ on Sunday (10/22 (inclusive)).
I’ll update as Expired
6 accounts an no coupons.
Either DoC misunderstood or the reader didn’t realize that the coupon was earned last week
Citi does not code the meijer that I go to as groceries. I highly doubt the dividend would get 5% back
Thanks for the heads-up. I know it codes as grocery for another card I use (but can’t think of off the top of my head right now), so I (ignorantly/dumbly) assumed it would be the same for my Dividend. I’ll check my recent charge there to see.
I can confirm dividend didn’t code as grocery on multiple cards. So don’t buy using dividend. I called and they read the terms and conditions which include superstores like Walmart, target, and meijer.
Yep, just saw that the terms specifically exclude Meijer (along with Walmart and Target, as you said)–but mine did code under the grocery and supermarket category, sadly.
That’s interesting. I’ve been to 10+ different Meijers and I’ve never had a problem with my Citi Custom Cash. Is there anything unique about that Meijer you go to or just an odd duck in CC coding?
In the past, the coupon has worked on electronics, no reason to think it won’t this time. None of their iPads are on sale at the moment, though if they were my store would be sold out right within an hour of the coupon going live.
