• Open a new Total Package account at the new Standale branch of AAC credit union and receive a $100 bonus when you complete the following within 30 days of account opening:
  • Open a Checking Account w/Active Debit Card
  • Add Net Direct Deposit (minimum of $500)
  • Activate Your E-Services
• Their freePlus checking  account also offers 3% APY on balances up to $10,000 when you complete the following requirements
  • Make 15 debit card transactions
  • Have at least $500 in direct deposits
  • Receive eStatements
  • Login to online/mobile banking at least 4 times

The Fine Print

• Receive $100 after you open a checking account, make at least one debit card transaction with your new card, start at least $500 in monthly direct deposit (must be received before bonus will post), and login to online banking/estatements.
•  If all items are completed within 30 days of your account opening, $100 will be deposited into your checking.  You must qualify for a checking account.
• AAC is federally insured by the NCUA.
• Must be 18 years or older to qualify.

• All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

Avoiding Fees

There is no monthly fee on their FreePlus checking account. There is no early account termination fee that I can see listed in the fee schedule.

Our Verdict

Personally I think the fact that this is in branch only and has quite a few requirements make it not worth seriously considering, especially when there are better bonuses out there. There are also better high interest accounts with less requirements than they have for the 3% account.
