[Miami, Referrals] Helium Mobile $5/month Unlimited Plans

Helium Mobile rolled out publicly in Miami with their $5/month plan which includes unlimited talk, text, and data. Helium Mobile includes 5 GB of tethered data and 30 GB of prioritized data per month, then speeds get throttled after that. Here’s a helpful FAQ.

Hopefully some Miami people find this useful. You can also get it if outside Miami if someone refers you. Feel free to discussion your experiences in the comments below. No referral sharing or requests.

It’s available nationwide now, but at $20/month (still $5/month if you’re in/near Miami). Check it out at: https://hellohelium.com/

I tried privacy.com card but it’s declined on Helium website. For those who did it, how did you do it?
Thanks.

The company appears to be building their business around cryptocurrency. I’m just using the service as a backup and let’s see how long this firm will last.

I beta tested this plan and still using it as a 2nd sim on my phone. Eventually plan on using as my main service. The referrals don’t currently earn anything for either party. It uses T-Mobile and also small cell lte radios that people can set up in their homes or wherever.

Helium’s response to the Salesforce/Lime stuff mentioned on Wikipedia: https://blog.helium.com/an-update-on-the-helium-network-2100c27205f1

Tl;dr: Salesforce and Lime both actively participated in pilot projects, implementing Helium’s technology, and Helium received explicit approval from both companies to advertise those partnerships. Those companies both ended those pilot projects without informing Helium either way. Further, because of how Helium (and LoRaWAN generally) operates, anyone can anonymously and permissionlessly use the Helium network, so there was no way for Helium to know that they had stopped those pilot projects.
