Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
Minnwest classic has a $2.00 monthly service charge; waived if enrolled in Online Statements
Early Account Termination Fee
I wasn’t able to find a fee schedule so unsure if there is an EATF.
Our Verdict
Looks to be working out of state. I suspect this bonus will end quickly or the requirements for opening will be tighten or accounts will be closed. Up to you if you think that’s worth the risk or not.

I applied from OOS late last night after seeing the comment from Bockrr, who found this offer. I was approved immediately for the Classic Checking and Thrive Savings accounts as I’m going for the full $300 bonus.
I usually attempt to set up online banking immediately after my accounts are opened but didn’t feel like doing it then.
I just attempted to create my online login and was successful. The balances in both of my accounts currently show $0 even though I funded a total of $1K with my CFU. I’m not worried about that as funding sometimes takes days to post.
A lot of people seem to be worried that MWB (the acronym that I just chose for Minnwest) will close all of our accounts in the near future. I’m not worried about it because at least half of the DPs mentioned going to review. If they had auto-approved everyone I would be slightly more worried.
Anyway, here is my DP from last night for anyone that is interested: #1953668 .
Instant approval for P1 and P2. Funded $1000 each with Chase Ink credit card.
