Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
This account has no monthly fees to worry about
Early Account Termination Fee
I wasn’t able to find a fee schedule so I’m unsure if there is any early account termination fee or not
Our Verdict
Always nice to see bonuses with no direct deposit requirement. I’m not sure if you’ll need to live near the Woodbury branch to get approved or not . Will be added to the best checking account bonuses. Please share your experiences in the comments below.

Told by the rep that they will NOT honor the bonus as it was just for the new branch customers?
The terms do not state this. Anyone get the bonus?
I am in MN for reference.
I had them escalate it and their team said since the terms were unclear (on their end) the offer will be applied to my account. Sadly, P1/P2 won’t both be getting it as they called out the terms that ONE per household will be enforced.
First time I have ever had that line item actually prevent a bonus. At least it was in their terms unlike the other part they tried to get us all on.
they ended up giving me a $50 bonus:
> I would like to note we have added our fall promotion to your account. If you were to set up a reoccurring direct deposit/automatic payment, or use your debit card 10 times within 60 days of account opening … you will receive a free $50 credit to your account.
it did pay out. I had so much trouble with funding (double transactions and chargebacks and unauthorized account debits oh my!) that I’m just not gonna fight getting the larger one.
For these types of bonuses that require 10 point of sale charges, what is everyone’s favorite way to do that that requires least amount of effort?

CC Funding now capped at $500
“This promotion is available to customers with a current grand opening promo code opening a new first-time personal checking account”
Are these guys churnable i received a bonus in 2019 from them?
Can OOS open the account in a branch while traveling? Wondering if they are strict on that or not
If you happen to find yourself in the area numerous times a year or the possibility of relocating could be in your future I suspect it might work.
Thank you for your application submission, ****. Please wait while we process your information. This page will re-load when we are ready for you to fund your account!
It kept reloading with no any updates!!
Only works for $50 on non-AZ addresses (or, the teller told me as much over the phone).
but you got approved being OOS?
Eh, me and P2 both had identity verification issues, requiring visit to branch. Pass.
Credit card funding now appears to be limited to $500. Chase Ink Cash, cash advance limit at $100 and funded $500
