Update 5/21/24: Multiple readers are reporting getting today emails from Amazon about the promotional credits coming through. The terms say it comes up to 30 days after shipment, and we’re now in that timeframe that the credits should start rolling in for everyone. Hoping for the best.
Original Post 4/21/24:
Amazon is running a deal to get a promotional credit when buying select Tide products. The credits are unusually large and often run close to the price of the actual product.
Assuming you shop frequently on Amazon and the credits will be easily used by their August 25th expiration, this is an excellent deal to get nearly free Tide. Use Subscribe & Save to get the prices down further.
Update: I just remembered about the P&G rebate which can get you another $5-$20 back. This can be a moneymaker – assuming you can deal with the rebate and the Amazon promotional credit. The Amazon credit will show up after the item ships.

Other:
You’ll see a message about the promotional credit showing up at checkout. It’s not entirely clear if we are limited to doing one of these or can do one of each. When you add two of these to your cart, the checkout screen is clear that you’ll get two promos. It’s worth noting that the fine print does state: “Offer limited to one per customer and account.” At the least, it seem likely that you can get one for each separate product or rebate amount. I think I’ll buy a few of these deals and then return them if something goes wrong with the promo credits. I’ll probably stick to doing one per credit amount, e.g. one $22.50 deal, one $14 deal, and one $8 deal. I’m optimistic to get all of those credits.
The P&G rebate comes back every few months. Even those who did it in prior rounds would be able to do this another time for this April-June offer. A reader gave us a tip for submitting Amazon purchases with P&G by using this converter tool from ASIN to UPC. That worked for me, and I’ve already received my rebate gift card a while back for the prior deal. Another tip – you need to submit the receipt image to P&G in PDF form.
Also stack with Shop With Points deals to increase the moneymaker.
I did this deal with 4 different Tide products offered, and made a couple of dollars besides the free products. I bought 4 different ones because I wasn’t sure if you could get credits for buying multiples of the same product, but it looks like that would have worked anyways. I put all products on Subscribe and Save to save 15% off on each product since I buy 5+ Subscribe and Save items monthly.
I saved screenshots on the day of purchase of each of the product pages showing the credits that I was supposed to receive. I received all credits about a month after receiving the Subscribe and Save shipments. I applied the Visa gift cards that I received in the mail from the rebate to my AT&T wireless and internet bills with no issues.
I was able to submit for the $15/$50 Procter and Gamble rebate, plus a $5/$20 rebate combining one of the Tide products with another Dawn product I purchased that was unrelated to this deal. It’s always great to get something that you really need for free with a moneymaker, and this deal was super easy too. Glad everyone got the credits they earned, even though the deal lasted for less than a day technically.
My credits were set to expire on 8/25, but I used them well in advance of the exp. date, since I buy a lot of stuff shipped and sold by Amazon anyway. Some of the Tides arrived a bit dented, but I have other/better empty laundry detergent bottles that I can pour them into anyway, and they’re still usable even with the small dents.
Update to this: got the Amazon promotional credit emails around 5 weeks after purchase. The emails contained conflicting expiry dates (aug 2024 and may 2025) within the same email.
I used some of the credit but now the rest will not auto apply. YOU CANNOT FIND YOUR BALANCE ANYWHERE on Amazon’s site. I’ve been chatting with support for an hour and they can’t help me. Pretty aggravating.
Just received my $5 rebate about 6 weeks after submission. It’s kinda silly that they sent me a physical visa GC for only $5, but whatever
Received all Amazon credits fine but only got a $5 p&g rebate even though I’d spent $50+.
Just received all my Amazon credits from this a few minutes ago
I am still waiting for credit from like 8 orders. Anyone else still waiting on their credit?
All credits received day 29 from delivery!
I talked to a representative and she(please excuse my assumption pronouns for an Indian name) told me the promo credit will expire within 30 days. I know we don’t usually trust the CS but just want to share this
I asked CS agent today. The CS agent said no expiration date and that I could use the dates afterward and asked me to ignore the email. That is too good to believe. Did anyone else get the same answer?
Their words are BS
How is your email said about the credit?
Same as yours
Got the credits today, originally ordered on the day of DoC posting the deal.
Deal is dead now
Anyone not receive the credit still after 30 days? My order was on April 21
I also ordered on 4/21 and haven’t received a credit
I did receive the P&G rebate though
edit: Actually I did receive it, p2 had already used it without realizing lol
Same issue here. I ordered on Apr 21 with S&S delivered May 6. Hoping it would come soon, otherwise will have to contact CS
Just got the email about it yesterday
