Important Update: Readers note in the comments that it’s not actually a $10 cost since you need to sign up for $10 per month. It ends up being either $100 or $180. Still could be useful for someone looking to actually join the program, but not a moneymaker.
The Offer
- MyPoints is offering 7,000 points (~$44) when signing up for HealthyWage and placing a bet of at least $10 on your weight loss.
The Fine Print
- Points will appear as Pending for 32 days.
- Must wager a minimum of $10 to earn Points.
- Points will be revoked for incomplete or canceled payment.
- Must be a new HealthyWage member.
- Must submit valid name, address, credit card and other subscription information to earn Points.
Our Verdict
Seems like a nice moneymaking deal, especially if you’re looking to lose weight. There’s a similar offer for 4,000SB from Swagbucks, but that one requires a $200 wager; the MyPoints deal is slightly better at 7,000 (~$44), and only requires a $10 wager.
If you’re new to MyPoints, here’s my referral link (you’ll get 1,750 points bonus (~$11) when you spend $20).
It’s a proven fact that most people who lose weight don’t keep it off.
So is this offer churnable?
LOL. No it is not churnable really. They have something called the “Yo-Yo rule” where you can’t do a new bet starting off at a higher weight than your target weight for a prior bet. So in other words, if you made a bet that you would go from 200 pounds to 150 pounds and won it, you couldn’t then make another bet starting off at anything higher than 150 pounds.
I’ve done 4 offers with MyPoints and NONE have been credited. Even worse, their customer service doesn’t even respond to missing points tickets (after 2 attempts). No adblockers and SB almost always posts for me in same method. Hope it’s just me.
You need to use chrome with no add-ons or extensions. I had the same problem with firefox.
Huh. Well, might look into this, trying to get myself motivated to lose some pandemic weight for my wedding. Thanks for sharing!

Can you challenge yourself to gain weight too?
I don’t support cheating but I do enjoy thinking about how to beat the system. For this one, what you’d want to do is add some weight(s) to yourself at the beginning and incrementally “lose” over time.
It’s very depressing to see how many people in the comments so far just trying to figure out how to cheat.
Be aware! It is not $10 cost. You have to sign up monthly $10 and there is no way cancel. I tried and read all terms and conditions. It was 18 months deal. So it is $180. Even you choose $10 a month you can’t stop paying that. Terms and conditions say it is exactly bank loan. So read then do it
Ugh, made the purchase and the points are not appearing 20 minutes later
I always have problems with mypoints paying. Their customer service used to pay up if you had screen shots, but the last deal I did with them they did not even bother to respond. I stay away from them now.
Did anybody complain to BBB or anything else to get them to respond ASAP?
How do you prove you lost weight to win the bet? sounds confusing
You record yourself stepping on a scale, in their app.
Note for people who only want to do $10 for mm: Don’t do this. HeathyWage required you filming your progress over the time and it’s dead serious. It’s nothing like pay $10, get the money and be done with it. They will try catching up with you, communicate with you and this mean you have to do it for real – lose weight lol.
I do think using a virtual/privacy card is possible but again I only saw people who intend to lose weight take this offer, it like icing on the cake for them.
You have to do a $100 minimum bet anyway, the $10 thing is inaccurate.
Looked through the website’s FAQs https://www.healthywage.com/challenges/self-serve-challenges/ and the ‘About Us’ section trying to understand what this is about.
Gave up, too confusing to me (e.g. what’s preventing someone from cheating having a friendly Dr. confirm fake weight; also you can do 10 challenges at a time for 6% weight loss each???)… 🙁
They make you record yourself stepping on the scale within their app. You can “amplify” your bet by joining prize pools but that just adds a group dynamic. I didn’t like having to potentially rely on others for this so I said no.
Thanks for your reply. In the FAQs it states:
“How do participants have their starting and ending weights verified?
1. Download our mobile app and follow the simple, on-screen instructions to let one of our referees remotely witness your weigh-in…
OR
2. Print the “Verify Me!” form and have a qualified witness sign the form after watching you step on the scale — any doctor, nurse, health club staff member or WW employee is qualified to be a witness…”
So, looks like any doctor can sign your form instead of recording yourself?
And I still don’t get who is actually paying me a profit if I achieve more than 6% weight loss (or my doctor says so 😉 )?
Well when I did it through someone else’s link they added the $40 on top of my bet payout. So in other words, let’s say I was gonna get paid back $110 for winning a $100 bet. They “boosted” my payout to $150 because I used a referral link. Once I won the bet, I got that money and could choose to get it sent via PayPal or a check in the mail. I’m assuming for MyPoints/Swagbucks you would just get paid through the site itself like most of their other offers, and not get a bonus added to your payout
And yes any doctor could confirm your weight on a document. I don’t think doctors would be too happy with helping someone cheat on a weight loss bet though, don’t see why they would want to help their patient do that
Thanks again for your replies. Looked some more now and found a more detailed rules page:

Think I’ll still sit this one out (even though I’m well within their target range, lol)
You’re welcome! And yeah it’s definitely not for everyone lol. It was very stressful for me personally.
