The Fine Print
- How to receive the bonus: To get your $200, open a new E-Checking account by 9/1/2017 with a $50 minimum balance using the offer code 03110510, then set up an automatic monthly direct deposit of at least $200 into your E-Checking account.

Avoiding Fees
E-Checking $8 Monthly Fee
There is a monthly fee of $8. To avoid this you need to do the following:
- Sign up for at least one direct deposit of $25 per month AND make at least 8 debit card transactions per statement period OR
- Sign up for at least one direct deposit of $25 per month AND Maintain a combined average daily balance among your Nationwide Bank deposit accounts of at least $10,000 (excludes CD account balances)
Early Account Termination Fee
If you close your account within 90 days of opening you will forfeit the $200 bonus. If you close it within 180 days you’ll have to pay a fee of $25
Our Verdict
Keeping this account fee free is the real pain of this bonus as you need to complete 8 debit card transactions and receive a direct deposit of at least $25 (or have a massive balance of $10,000). If you can easily meet the direct deposit requirement, this is a pretty great bonus. We’ll be adding this to our list of the best bank bonuses.

Any idea for this bonus???If I don’t put in code.200 bonus will still apply or not??
Why does it say expired? The link still states there is a bonus.
Seems to be “Just for associates” of Nationwide, not the general public. If you are an associate of Nationwide then go for it.
+1
what is their definition of “associates”?
Completed the requirements using a payroll DD on 10/15.
I waited the required 90 days plus two weeks but never got the bonus.
I called in on 1/26, the rep took some information and said within 3 days the bonus will post.
It posted on 1/27! Unfortunately, I have to keep this open for a few more months. It’s always worth it when a nice bonus is available and posts, but it’s a pain to keep these active.
Did anyone get this automatically?
*Data point* Nationwide tried not to pay the bonus stating that a DD of $200 was required within 60 days. They made is sound like the requirement was 1 DD of $200 rather than the the total of $200, which I made in to DDs of $100 each. I pushed back. They said they would investigate and call me back. No call, but they paid. Yes, I know I broke the rule and called the bank.
looks like the link is down and I also tried to open their online banking page from their website that is down as well. Makes me think may be they are working to bring this offer up again. Hopefully 🙂
Hope so!
Received an email back from customer service today stating that they will honor the promotion if I applied using the promo code, to me the wording made it seem like they were making an exception. I have not applied yet, and do not think I will.
