The Offer
- NatureSweet two 24oz/16.5oz Tomatoes After Rebate
Our Verdict
This isn’t an easy rebate, looks like you need to mail it in. Makes it not worth it in my opinion, but everybody is different.

After being told that WM wasn’t a participating retailer and then being sent 3 coupons for free packages of tomatoes, a check for $9 arrived today. Strange process here, can’t recall a more mismanaged rebate processing in my limited experience.
What were the exact dates? It looks like I bought the tomato’s on Jan 6th. Is this outside the range or no?
sorry, it ran thru 12/31/22
I mailed two rebate forms in Dec and I called customer service in Jan and Feb and confirmed that they have received my rebate forms and receipts, and they always there was a delay and said I am in the queue. But I have not received the rebates. Beware of this company, no business ethics at all.
I have a similar experience. Kept hearing lies every time I contacted them. I will be reporting them.
Got my rebate check in the mail for $10.98, even though I indicated on my rebate form that I wanted a PayPal deposit instead. Not sure of why they mailed out rebate checks to everyone even though they gave you multiple payment options on the rebate form, like PayPal.
I bought the Constellation multi color tomatoes in 24 ounce special winter medley boxes for $5.49 each at my local Ralph’s (Kroger) grocery store. The tomatoes were fresh and delicious, great offer! These tomatoes are also supposedly non-GMO, making them even better in my opinion.
btw Tomatoes aren’t gmo they haven’t been sold in 25 years. That label is just a gimmick. It’s placed on everything. there are only a few actual Gmo crops like corn soy cotton etc. The one you should try for is organic, no glyphosate.
Go $5.99 check today
TLDR – might be worth calling them, non 800 #.
Got denied for purchase of 2 packages.
Reason – Not participating retailer.
I never saw a list of participating retailers. Did I miss it?, it was not on the rebate web page.
Got “denied” for a 2nd purchase of 2 packages, they couldn’t find the submission that was sent mid Dec.
I called the non 800 #, left msg. and the woman who called me back agreed that participating retailers was not clear, they have gotten a lot of calls/complaints and she would do what she could. Couldn’t send a check but could send coupons. Even though she could only find my first purchase / submission for 2 and not the 2nd submission she was kind enough to send 3 coupons for free (excluding 32 oz. size) any NatureSweet tomato product & 1 coupon for $1 off cherubs, all good through 12/23.
Good enough
Good luck….
Are you saying that you submitted 2 different rebates with 2 purchases on each one? I believe this rebate offer only limited you to purchasing 2 products total per household, whether purchased separately or together. Did you get reimbursed for any of them, or just your second submission? The household limit may have been why your second submission was denied, then. They may have rightly denied your second submission, but just gave you the wrong reason as to why it was denied. Was the store you purchased your tomatoes at listed on their store locator on their website?
From my printed rebate form:
“Maximum reimbursement is two (2) products per household. Each rebate submission may include one (1) or two (2) qualifying NatureSweet products. Each household can submit one (1) rebate request with two (2) products, or two (2) rebate requests with one (1) product each.”
and
“The offer is only available on NatureSweet 24oz or 16.5oz items purchased at participating retailers.”
Hi Dominique, they made this unclear too. I agree that the text you show appears on forms generated in December. But look at the graphic DoC captured above: “Limit 2 purchases per receipt/submissions and maximum 2 rebate submissions per household.” I failed to save my initial November submission but my recollection is the text on the form at the time matched the image above. I didn’t pay attention to the change on the Dec form.
Also, I called the phone number week before last but just got directed to a full mailbox…submitted the comment form but no reply yet.
Anthony Paganini Interesting! The question is though, did anyone actually successfully receive a rebate check for 2 submissions for 2 products on each submission? I haven’t seen one on this thread yet… Did you personally receive your rebate, and for how many submissions/products?
@Anthony Paganini
Did you call the 800#? If so I’d suggest trying the non 800 # that is in the rebate submission form. That was the # that returned my call.
So far I got nothing. Submitted a receipt with 2 purchases in Nov and then another receipt wtih 2 purchaes in Dec both from Safeway paid with GC (trying to draw down CapitalOne Shopping money). Called the 210 number and got full mailbox, will have to try again next week.
Received a phone call at 7 am returning my VM from yesterday, letting me know my rebate had been sent last week. Received in today’s mail a check for $10.98, which corresponds to neither my first purchase ($11.98) nor my 2nd purchase ($10), but is probably enough to be satisfied.
$10 more came on its own today!
Same batch with my $9 check I guess. No idea if it was in response to my first or second rebate submission.
I submitted 2 rebate requests. Each had 2 purchases.
The first one was denied, not the second one. The second one was “not found”.
Both my submitted forms have the “Limit 2 purchases per receipt/submissions and maximum 2 rebate submissions per household.” wording. If the limit was 2 total then why would they word it that way? A simple “Limit 2 items per household” or similar would have sufficed.
The rebate said “participating retailers” then failed to give a list. If the generic store locator was meant to be a participating retailer list they never stated this. The rebate is long gone from the site but the locator remains. It has no connection to the rebate. It doesn’t list half the stores in my area that sell NatureSweet products and skips locations in the same grocery chain that are closer than ones it does list.
The woman I spoke with admitted there was no participating retailer list for the rebate for the public to read and participating stores were supposed to have displays “but the offer got all over social media…”
In any case, will be using the 3 get a free package coupons they sent to get 3x 24oz. packages so 72oz. free vs. the 66oz. (4x 16.5oz.) I bought and submitted for.
Maybe I lucked out? Who knows. As far as I’m concerned I’m made whole on this. Had they not sent the coupons I would have submitted the whole thing to my state AG’s office consumer complaint office.
I got $6.99 check today. They only reimbursed one package for me (I submitted 2). Better than nothing I guess.
My $10 check came today. Return address is “smart payables” postmarked from Centennial CO. Free tomatoes make them pretty sweet tomatoes. Thanks DoC!!
Has anyone gotten their rebate or called since mid January?
I guess I’ll call them tomorrow, called a month or more ago and they called me back, said they could see them and were working through a big backlog.
Anyone else just notice this is for “Stop & Shop” only? Would explain why I’m still waiting (Albertsons). Oh well, that’ll teach me.
I just got mine yesterday for purchase from Jewel (a different Albertson’s brand)
I took a screenshot prior to sending mine and it was for “participating retailers”. Haven’t got mine though, kind of dissappointed.
Yes, it is “participating retailers”. I purchased from Walmart and still haven’t received the rebate.
I just received my $10.xx check. I purchased mine at Safeway (Albertson). I could have done one more (L 2 rebates per household) but did not do the 2nd one as there was a bit of uncertainty.
