I got the offer on my Visa Signature Flagship card. Spend $500, get 5000 rewards. Oct. 1-30. T&C state GC’s are excluded. Has anyone successfully bought GC’s with this offer and gotten the reward?
New offer: Earn 3000 points when you spend $300 in restaurants in the month of August. The card already earns 3% back on restaurants so this is a total of 13% back.

I spent at the grocery store, gas station and paid my cable bill.

I found my offer for the GO MASTERCARD email, but only after searching my emails for "NAVY", and perusing them. That card was really my wife's, not mine. NONE of the two cards I had, the Visa Cash, nor Flagship Visa, had that offer. Make sure yo hit the REWARDS button to ENABLE it, (if it shows up), or you won't get the credit. From now on, whenever I log into my accounts, I'm clicking on that Rewards button, EVERY MONTH. It is too easy to miss the emails, or DOCs emails for that matter. I got lucky this time and earned the $50 by prepaying 506.23 for electric bill. (The $xx6.23 part is only encoded so I can see the date for that payment!)
I personally had the classic CASH card that pays 1.5% on everything, and 1.75% if you have a direct deposit set up. But, I also pay the $50 / year for the FLAGSHIP Visa, which pays 2% on everything. But wait, "there's more"!! The Flagship Visa ALSO PAYS in full for AMAZON PRIME! Mine just renewed, and was charged to this card, (you MUST SET IT UP BEFORE PRIME AUTO-RENEWS, to ONLY, to your NFCU Flagship Visa). Mine just renewed 6/15, and the refund for the $139 came as a credit, a few days later. I also now, ONLY PAY at COSTCO using that NFCU card, which pays every month, instead of every year with CitiBank's COSTCO card. Now, the ONLY things that go on the Costco Card, is GAS, that still earns 5% is also cheaper than anywhere else. (Few "5% for Gas" offers will pay if you get it at COSTCO).
I also stopped paying the extra $50 for Costco EXEC's 2%, since they only pay that after February of the following year, IF you still have that card. Their game of musical chairs mean that, a fairly high number of Costco members can't even GET the bonus if they stop having an account open, and even then , you MUST SPEND their stupid coupon rewards AT COSTCO, ONLY.
I only wish they paid some referral fee for a NFCU membership account, which they do occasionally, usually near the end of the year.
NOTE that almost ALL the cards out there have drastically reduced the extended warranty terms. COSTCO CITICARD Visa's ended Jan 1st, 2023 completely. OTOH, the other TWO CitiBank MASTERCARDS I have, both Simplicity and Premier, still provide doubling the warranty. So, for WARRANTY reasons only, I will put large product buys on the Citi cards, which even at only 1% seems worth it.
I opened the Flagship Rewards card for a $400 bonus plus Amazon Prime Annual membership ($139), but I didn’t know the Prime membership was reimbursed every year thereafter. Thanks for the info!
I believe it only pays for Amazon Prime the one time, not every year. From the NFCU website (been a member for 14+ years…

Datapoint – We spent about $550 over the weekend. $50 credit email was sent today (Wednesday) – logged in and it was there. This one’s quick.
