The Offer
- Bravera Bank is offering a $200 referral bonus. Both parties earn $100 when the new user opens a new checking account and keeps it open for at least 60 days
The Fine Print
- All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them
Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
Free checking has no monthly fees to worry about.
Early Account Termination Fee
I wasn’t able to find a fee schedule so unsure if there is an early account termination fee.
Our Verdict
Nice thing about this bonus is that it has no requirements. Feel free to share your referrals in the comments below, just share if it’s a hard or soft pull as well.

Just checked the Fee Schedule after opening my account and there is a fee for early closing of account.
Early Closing Fee (deposit accounts closed within 90 days of opening): $30.00
I live in Montana and just opened the Community Rewards Checking today after seeing this post. I plan to try referring P2 and anyone else that would like to be referred once I can get in to my new account.
I tried applying online from OOS (IL). Got through the entire application only to be told at the end that I am unable to apply because my zip code is not in the service area.
Looks like this increased to $200 last year.

Montana included too. Possibly Minnesota. Anybody got a referral? I’ll try from Idaho.

Messaged them and they were open to me joining from out of state online. Time to find a referral.
Hey I’m in state and would definitely sign up, let me know if you find a referral either
I messaged a bunch of their followers on Twitter, but no response yet. I’ll try Facebook later.
Still waiting for a referral. Their Twitter and Facebook followers are a bit inept and don’t want a free $100
When I was looking for a Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union referral, the best luck I had was messaging people on Reddit. Facebook and Twitter people assume everything is a scam.
However, there was no happy ending to that story as FMFCU rejected the application post-haste.
