- Central Willamette Credit Union is offering a $250 bonus when you open a new checking account and complete the following requirements:

- Make at least 30 debit card transactions
The Fine Print
- $250 promotion applies only at the Newport branch and is for new members who open a consumer checking account from 05/22/23 to 07/29/23 at the Newport Branch.
- $250 credit will be applied to your CWCU checking account within 30 days of meeting qualifying criteria of: 1) account is open for six months; 2) receive a qualifying direct deposit; 3) enroll in CWCU Digital banking and download the Mobile banking application; and 4) make at least 30 CWCU debit card transactions during the first six months.

Pretty painless sign-up, though they “automatically” enrolled me in overdraft, she never asked me about it, so hard pull. Took about 30 minutes. CC funding is allowed, no limit, I’ll let you know how it codes. Please be advised that the expiration date for this deal states 6/17 on their literature in Newport – but the grand opening isn’t until the 22nd – so it is likely it’s running until end of July as it states on their site “Open a checking account by July 29th to take advantage of this attractive offer.” I am over 55 and opened the 55+ checking account which earns interest and has no fees. If they are Chex sensitive, I imagine they’ll close my account fairly quickly – we shall see.

I went last week and was told all credit funding runs as cash advance. I tried anyway with chase southwest business and it was denied (I set a zero cash advance limit on that card).
Anyone know if they’re Chex sensitive? My score isn’t as bad as some of yours but it ain’t great either.
I’m in the county footprint but it’s a decent drive. Might have them pay for my gas for a nice daytrip to the beach there and still pocket 200 net, but I want to actually get approved.
