W and Temu royalty was spot on.

Very Chex sensitive, even via branch. Chex stats is 24/11.

Branch rep had a shocked pickachu face on her face when she pulled up my reports and asked why i had so many inquiries and accounts open.

I was successful with Ridgewood Savings bank yesterday with the Branch manger overrides, but definitely not the case here.

a bit upset about the Chex hit, but WCYD.

They are very Chex sensitive. DP: Would not open the account unless you are under 10 inquires. No exceptions were given.

Under 10 inquiries over what period of time? Are you referring to the total number of inquiries on your Chex report (which would cover last 3 years)?

Same question. I’m thinking about going to the branch this weekend. Can you clarify “Under 10 inquiries over what period of time”? Thanks.

They are very Chex sensitive for what it’s worth. It’ll raise some eyebrows if you have any recent inquiries within the last 6 months and it’ll require a manager override.

Account pays 3.44% interest with a $2.5K minimum balance.

They did recently start re-imbursing ATM fees globally as well with no FTF.

Probably a stupid question, but how do ATMs work overseas, let’s say in a country that uses the Euro?

Do you still pay a conversion rate, or does the bank calculate it for you and not take anything?

There’s a conversion rate set by the card issuer (Visa, MC, Amex, Discover) and that rate gets applied to the transaction. The bank can add on additional foreign transaction fees if they so choose.

The $2.5K minimum initially annoyed me, but it looks like it’s only a $10 monthly fee if you don’t maintain that balance. Assuming you meet the bonus requirements ASAP, you’d pay $30 total in fees ($10 for the 2 bonus qualification months, and $10 for the month waiting for the bonus to post) and still be up $270. still seems worth it

this is all moot though if they have early termination fees – I can’t tell if they do

S.O where are you getting this 2.5k from.

Doc already states that the Free ExtraValue Checking has no monthly fees and a quick google search also confirmed that only $100 deposit is needed to fund and open the account with an no extra activities required afterwards.

The screenshot on this page from apple bank itself says you need choice checking for the offer, which has the 2.5K minimum in their terms. I might be wrong but it would seem like opening an extra value checking wouldn’t qualify for the bonus

You might be right here. Only the Choice Checking is highlighted in the main page. It also states it in the T&C

Definitely do want to see some DP’s coming on whether the ExtraValue Checking qualifies for the $300 as well.

But nonetheless, eating the $30 fee and getting $270 profit is very easy work for very minimal effort.

It doesn’t. This is only for the Choice Checking account. I did this bonus last year for a different branch.

It’s a new branch special deal. So this HAS to be done at the Greenpoint branch.

That is incorrect information, you don’t have to maintain a balance once you have direct deposit no fees incur.
