• New York City is offering $100 to individuals who get a Covid booster shot at a New York City-run vaccine location or through the City’s in-home vaccination program between December 21, 2021 and December 31,2021.

You’ll get the $100 to your email as a virtual prepaid debit card. There are other reward options other than the $100:

NYC Ferry 10-Ride Pass, Statue of Liberty and accompanying ferry ticket, NYC Public Markets gift cards ($25), Snug Harbor family membership, Family fun wristband and free ride on the Cyclone at Luna Park in Coney Island.

Our Verdict

Wow, that’s a nice incentive. Note, you must have a valid New York City address on file to be eligible.

There’s also an interesting referral program for organizations who refer their members to get booster shots; the organization gets $100 per referral, up to $20,000. Details here. I can see this being a nice fundraiser for colleges, clubs, religious institutions and the like, but I’m not sure if the person getting the shot then forfeits their own $100.
