I just went into the store – should have read comments below first! I selected 6 different cards and asked for $25 on each card – total $150. They attached my rewards number. No discount. Detached my rewards number. No discount. Said they couldn’t do anything, but offered me a handwritten discount on a post it note for my next in-store purchase. No thanks! I’m on chat now. But wondering if I should look at the flyer above the display and only get the cards pictured as someone below mentioned. ugh!!
Here are my data points:
I had 3 Chase credit cards that had the 10% cash back Chase Offer, up to $11 cash back (https://www.doctorofcredit.com/chase-offers-bofa-10-back-at-office-depot-max-up-to-8-discount/).
I went to my local Office Depot and bought 3 “Thank You” cards (multi brand card with Old Navy, Ulta, Applebees, Chevron, Regal, Grubhub, and Total Wine). These are the same family of cards as shown above, but I think any multi brand card from “Redeem . Gift Cards . com” would work.
I purchased each card in a separate transaction with a different Chase credit card.
I told the cashier to load $150 to the card. The POS showed $150. I then entered my Office Depot rewards number and the price dropped to $135 on the POS. I paid with my Chase credit card.
I repeated the process 3 times and was done.
After using this offer on 3 cards, I checked my Chase offers again this morning and a few more cards now had the offer.
Tried on 12/17/23. Bought the product, promo didn’t apply. Employee verified the prompt, gave me 800 number to call. They offered rewards but id rather have it credited to my credit card as it was suppose to apply at checkout. Phone rep said he added notes in my membership and to go to store so they can credit my card. Have yet to go in yet…
For me, rewards is better because I can buy stamps at OD.
I tried this tonight and it didnt take $15 off in-store. It was the choice airbnb / gruhub version. So YMMV.
This deal is for $15 off $300 of MasterCard gift cards. This specific offer doesn’t include airbnb/grubhub cards…
Wrong. This is a separate offer on choice gift cards. Based on the comment below, its only on two types that are not that interesting.
I tried today at local OD and that particular version is not discounted. You have to grab one of the cards that is shown on the flyer, so I wound up getting the ‘Thank You’ version. It is confusing that some of the cards are discounted while others aren’t.
Thanks Ryan. I noticed the in-store sign didn’t picture that particular Choice card. Now I know for sure.
The “find a store” link isn’t working on the office depot page. Don’t understand how to get the offer.
