  • Buy $300 in Visa gift cards and get $15 discounted instantly at the register.

The Fine Print

  • Valid 5/23 – 5/29
  • Limit 1 per customer

Our Verdict

If you buy a $200 Visa gift card and a $100 Visa gift card, the total will come out to $297.90; or buy two $200 Visa gift cards for a total of $398.90. Use a card like the INK Cash/Plus which earns 5x at office supply stores. Dosh offers 2% back at Office Depot/Max, though the terms exclude gift cards from earning. You can also check the Payce app.

I’m expecting this sale to return from 7/18-7/24, if prior patterns hold.

BUYER BEWARE…Over the years, I’ve had very few problems with these OD/OM gift card deals. About 4 yrs ago, like many DoC readers, I bought a couple of $200 USBank MC’s that were not activated properly by the OD POS (the $200 never got properly added to the card initially). US Bank cust svc eventually resolved the matter after one phone call and a 3-4 week wait. Unfortunately, during the most recent deal at OD, one of the variable floral Meta Visas I bought was auto drained on a “card not present” purchase one day after I bought the card. I’ve already filed a case by calling the # on the back of the card and (fortunately) it was just one card. The call took about 25 minutes. I always take a good long look at the packaging and I don’t think this package was compromised. I have to think it is more than a coincidence that my problem occurred with a variable ($20-$200) Visa…a product I almost never buy, To this point, I have never had an issue with the $200 non variable Meta Visas at OD and I’ve been doing this for years. In any event, I thought I’d share as so many here have helped me with their data points. Hoping the process to recoup the $200 doesn’t take more than a month or so, but I’m guessing it will be longer.. It’s def a risk you take to get the pay-off.

I’ve exclusively bought $20-$200 variable visas from ODOM on many occasions over the past four years and have never had a single issue. Sucks that you did, but I’m guessing, especially since you say you seldom partake, you are more the exception than the rule. Still, important for others to be aware of what is possible, regardless of whether it is probably.

Are 5 back visas the same as the regular ones with the flowers? My OM store is out of the flower and the black ones. I’m wondering if the 5% back are the same, I mean do they work at local grocers? TY

Do the Dining Everywhere Cards work just like the Grocery Everywhere cards for MO’s, BB loading, etc?

b Dan Just used a $200 Dining Everywhere card to load Green Dot at a WM supercenter’s money center. Worked without even having to split it into sub-$100 swipes. It almost certainly would have worked for MO or BB. (It’s theorized that the Dining cards only work in WMs with a restaurant attached. No idea if that’s been proven, but this one did have a Subway, for what that’s worth.)

Anyone know a quick way to find out how much I have spent at office supply stores with my Chase Ink Cash card. Look everywhere online, but can’t find a page that categorizes my spending. Thanks.

Edited:
I’ve figured it out. Log into your online account, select the 3 dots (…) to the right of the card, select Spending Report, and select “Office and Shipping” under the Categories.

I see it’s showing only YTD or last year. Your best bet is go to ultimate rewards and click on the “i” below your card# and name. It will show you the spend since the anniversary. Hope this helps.

Ordinarily I love these promotions, but didn’t Walmart recently eliminate the option to buy money orders with gift cards?

WM’s official policy “OP-46” is to “decline to process the transaction.” However, most/all WMMC POS/terminals are coded to accept GCM Visa & MCGCs (recognizable as issued by Meta or Sun and distributed by BHN) for totals of $99 or less and Vanilla Visa & MCGCs (recognizable as issued by Bancorp and distributed by InComm or ITC) for totals of $49.99 or less.

Which of the Everywhere cards work at Walmart, besides the Grocery Everywhere?

YMMV (depending on whether your WM is a supercenter, neighborhood market, or vanilla WM), but I’ve had recent success w/ the Style and Dining cards.
