The Offer

Direct Link to offer

  • Office Depot online is selling a $300 Visa card for $285 with free shipping and no additional fees attached.

The Fine Print

  • Limit 1
  • Offer valid from 09/25/2020 to 10/01/2020
  • Maximum discount allowed is subject to a maximum sum of $15 per customer

Our Verdict

There’s no shipping or activation fee, so it’s just a straight-up gain. This processes through Giftcardmall, so you won’t get an office supply multiplier; just use your regular everyday driver card.

This won’t last, so buy it quickly. I’ll buy and one and spend it down organically for a $15 savings. Might be possible to buy a second in a separate checkout, let us know if you try.

  • I did not participate in this offer but I did participate in the $10 off $100 offer from 2 or 3 months ago. When I searched for "Office Depot" that post didn't come up for some reason.

Anyway, I bought the gc to use toward my Verizon Fios bill as using credit wipes out the Auto Pay discount but using debit does not. It was declined yesterday and I was told by Blackhawk CS that they don't allow "recurring" bill payments per the T&C.

Last month I was able to make a $15+ payment using the same gc on Fios as it came up as "Bill Payment" rather than the "Bill Payment Recurring" it shows up as now. Do any of you have any idea how I can get it to work on Fios?

  • Went in for two, got them this past Friday and Saturday. Same name, same billing address, different shipping addresses, different emails, different credit cards. Bought them within minutes of each other.

Interestingly, per the accompanying literature, they're both 5% back cards without literally saying "Five Back Gift Card" on them; first time I've gotten one like this. If you're interested, you can max that out to get an additional $15.79 ($15 on the first $300, $0.75 on the $15 cash back, and $0.04 on the $0.75 cash back), provided A) it works that way--I've never used a Five Back card before, so I don't know if cash back earns its own cash back--B) one or more of the participating merchants is somewhere you shop, and C) the merchant accepts the card as eligible for the 5% Back bonus. (I get the impression it's possible some may not?)
