Huntington Bank offers a checking promo for $150 publicly, the downside is that this bonus requires a direct deposit. Much like Chase and their Chase checking + savings coupons Huntington sends out mail outs for bonus that range from $250-$350, these bonuses can be used by any one.
If you don’t receive one of these targeted mail outs yourself, you can just purchase somebody else’s unused one from eBay. Before we look at the requirements of each bonus here are some general things you should know about Huntington Bank:

Our Verdict
These are all great bonuses, especially since it looks like you can churn them once annually much like the Chase coupons. I’m a bit disappointed I don’t live within the targeted area as this looks like an easy way to rack up $350 each and every year.
If you do live within the area I’d definitely recommend these bonuses, the only downside is that stocks are limited to whatever people are selling on eBay. Usually after I do a post the coupons get sold out quickly (there are only about 2-3 of each coupon at time of writing), but if you check back fairly regularly new coupons should be added by new sellers (if anybody knows how to get a stack of these, get in touch).
Because of the supply issues, I haven’t added this bonus to the best bonus page or our checking bonus db, if stock improves then I will add them.
Failed the identity verification questions, twice, both online and over the phone, because now they’re asking for the birth month of someone who shared the same past address and are therefore incorrectly assumed to be my relatives. What kind of database are they using? LexisNexis?
Received a 750 targeted snail mail offer from huntington bank
I only need to deposit 5000 and open a business checking account. I opened a Fast Track business checking account where the minimum is 5k to avoid fees. The account must remain open for 180 days to get the bonus free and clear of any type of fees
Jumped on this offer right away. Much easier requirements than Chase or Citi 🙂
Will, you need to add in the criteria that this is not available to those who’ve closed a checking acct in the last 6 months. I almost bought a coupon on eBay until I saw that being stated in the terms of the coupon.
Also, do you see it anywhere in writing that you will lose the sign up bonus if you close within 6 months? I churned this for the first time late last year and only paid the $25 early termination fee for closing the acct in less than 6 months. Not sure if anything changed since then.
I’m not sure all of these have the 6 month rule, but I’ll add it anyway just in case. Some of the coupons say it cannot be closed within 6 months, not sure if this is enforced/on all coupons or not.
Asterix free? What a let down. I would love to have a bank account featuring Asterix. He is one of my favorite cartoon characters.
